It will be interesting to see how "social distancing" is approached as part of an ongoing practice. I have noticed the majority of people are quite respectful of the current situation as evidence of all sorts is on display.

Richie yes people are playing by the rules of the current situation - pretty well in my area. As for this continuing on as things go back to somewhat and at some point normal, some may continue on with these behaviors but many of us will want to return to our hugging and showing our affection for others. Count me in on the latter group....absolutely!

A woman at the grocery store visibly jumped away when my daughter & I were over 6 ft away... It was fascinating to say the least. I don't think we'll return to hugging any time soon.

In my area, I see the six foot distancing getting a little less every day. I don't think this is hear to stay.

Not seeing cars spaced apart, Richie. I did go into my Publix store a few days ago... apparently they marked directional signals for the aisles to keep shoppers moving in one direction in each aisle which NO ONE was paying attention to, I suppose because we weren't looking down at the floor while shopping and no one had made us aware of this as we entered the store. When an employee told me (not asked) to follow the directional signs she was standing no more than 2 feet away from me... I told her I'd prefer she just step back a few feet and that would go a lot further in keeping the virus from spreading... she got the message... I hadn't seen anyone jump so fast.

We had to go to the bank yesterday and were allowed to wear a mask INSIDE! It was a little unsettling. Am looking forward to getting back to a new business as usual!

I'm in a city, and I barely see people outside. I went on a walk on Monday and I think I was the only one wo/ a mask or covering. No things won't be fully normal (and esp for me) until after a vaccine.

Wouldn't be surprised if this translates into real estate in a big way. For years, everyone wanted to move closer to their work. Now people with 2nd homes are leaving the cities. I've had calls from people from big metropolitan cities, now "hot spots", looking for homes here on the Monterey Peninsula. Will that mean prices will drop in those cities? Ours here will go up.

What I think will remain is that it will be acceptable to be a hygenic. What was once considered germophobic behavior will be considered normal. Three months ago, if you got on a plane and pulled out bleach wipes to clean your space, other people would roll their eyes. I teach classes and we have always had bleach wipes in the room. A few months ago, if someone pulled out a bleach wipe to wipe off their table or chair before class, other students would internally roll their eyes. Going forward, people will be less judgy of that type of people. In fact, they may even say, "Pass the bleach wipes please."

Social distancing will slowly go away once the crisis is over. And as far as traffic, distancing in Chicago will go away as quickly as traffic goes back to normal counts!

I doubt this will last. I suspect people will go back to normal very soon, especially the younger ones who didn't care much for distancing in the first place. I plan to go out and shake hands and more.

Yes it still feels od, but most seem to be paying attention. Still lots of people out in public and not wearing masks, and some don't seem to make an effort to avoid other but just go about their business in the stores. Amazing how little traffic there is!
