Unbelievable! I can't imagine why any governor would go in that direction, especially with the 3rd most deaths in a state.

Thanks, yes I saw this. But local and county restrictions that are more restrictive must be followed. Will have to check further, but a bit of good news!

Yet, we are controlled buy the most restrictive rules, not the most beneficial for our own needs. Our County has not relaxed the prohibitions and restrictions that keep us home bound, prevent us from showing properties, prevent us from meeting with clients face-to-face.
Yes, real estate is an essential service but we cannot use that as an excuse to act unwisely in the face of this pandemic.

Essential or not, to some it is vital. As far as me, I rather ride out the storm and enjoy my staycation.

So far there has been no banning of real estate services in my market. But the real estate associations have made it clear that only those who have an essential need to buy or sell a property should be in the market... and for those who are in the market, there are disclosures and strict protocols.

Great news. I had not heard. I think San Diego's shelter in place supersedes that though here locally. Also, for now I'm thinking about health and liability. I'm considering mid to late April is a safer return to full duty if and when San Diego lifts the order. I've only got one active duty client that needs to be closed by June that I consider urgent; the rest of my peeps can wait and are choosing to as am I.

In our area, the MLS has been doing a great job of keeping us informed of what services we can and can not provide. It definitely is a changing target. Thankfully the latest updates are right on our log in page. Currently we can show homes and pretty much carry out real estate services with a few exceptions like no Open Houses. There are however very strict guidelines about how things are to be done - physical distancing, only one person with an agent in a houese at a time, all showings even on vacant homes are to be scheduled/by appointment only, no overlapping showings etc etc.

They deemed real estate essential here in NH on Friday. It was a close call being told to close and appealing, but they listened

I don't understand how a local level restriction can supersede State or Federal
not sure that would fly in a court of law. you have state license not a county license
Also the Mayor of New York City tried to place a shut down law on the city and the Governor of New York told him he didn't have the authority The mayor stepped down.
interesting world we live in

Still no decision in NJ. We conducted a closing remotely last week, but the walk through was in person, six feet apart.

Our State Assn had to go to bat for us here, but real estate is essential in Denver too. NOT business as usual, and work with severe caution.

Glad California has rethought this. It is a struggle in Oregon, but we are still getting sales together. Keeping them together has been challenging, however.

We cannot fix stupid. Morons to the Left!
I don't give a rats bottom who declares what - I have a brain and I know how to use it. I am hunkered down sheltered in place in my home. I have not left my home for 7 days. My last outing was to the grocery store. I just ordered lots of things online for delivery.
I lost another 1.5 pounds last week. Life is good when we make good choices. All the best to you!

I guess sellers that are concerned about Covid-19 can refuse or restrict showings, or take their house off the market for a while?
