I haven't had that experience; however, a funny thing (NOT) happened at my Post Office. A lady before me had her turn. Everyone was keeping their distance. Woman got out her santizer wipes, wiped down the counter and everything she could before handing the PO guy her mail. He took care of her but then it happened. The insane woman took out her container of santizer wipes and licked it all over in front of the guy behind the counter and said, "Have a nice day." I really, really hope to see her photograph at the Post Office and all other Public places with a WANTED sign. 

I am not sure I would shake, but the alcohol wipe would piss me off.  why didn't they use it prior to shaking.  

I'd do my best not to shake hands at this time.

There is no handshaking, stay away at least 6 feet. I had a guy come right up behind me in the checkout at our little grocery market here in town.  I told him to back up.  He thought it was funny. I did not.  Don't people get it yet????

That would be humorous since I'd be doing the same thing...lol

That wouldn't happen to me because I would not shake someone's hand, nor be close enough to let that happen.  I stupidly shook someone's hand on 3/6, but not going do that again 21 days have passed, so I'm more than safe.

I supposed if it did happen, I would both be offended and be thinking how stupid and two faced that would be.they could have elbow bumped but even that is too close and frowned upon.easy enough to do nod from a distance.

Not offended. I would just say, " oh, I'm glad you did that, I forgot to tell you I just got over the flu- I think"

They can't shake my hand if I don't allow it.

Said person would not have been within 6 feet of me and able to shake my hand.  I present myself with a slight bow with my hands together in front of my heart.  

I just wouln't do it; offer the elbow instead. But if it did happen, now is not the time to take any offense.

Not offended in this environment but I am not shaking anyone's hands either. It's kind of nice.

Someone tried to shake my hand a few days ago, and I just said, "Whoa, we're not supposed to be shaking hands!" and he said, "Oh yeah, you're right, lets elbow bump". Silly but that's what we did. I wouldn't shake someone's hand at this particular moment in time. But I can't wait until that's okay to do again. And hug.

I wouldn't shake a hand right now.

I've had people do that & I've just ignored it but that is terribly rude. Right now, I wouldn't think anything. 

I do think that people are a little nuts when they pull their shirt up over their nose & mouth when you are talking with them 6 feet away.

I keep a big jar of purell on my desk, we both wash our hands after each hand shake.  Nobody is offended, we all want to keep eachother safe.

They must of had a long arm.  I am only doing the bum elbow for the time be.

I wouldn't shake hands but, if I accidently shook out of habit, I would ask if they had more wipes to share! 

And, no, I wouldn't be offended - I would anticipate that the other person made the same old-habit mistake I had made!

I would giggle...I find it funny...

I am not doing any hand shaking this month.

We'll never know, we're sheltering in place. 

Depends what is driving YOUR bus. If fear driven who knows what nonsense will come forth. If love driven...it will have a value. If human error still another dynamic to see your forgiveness level. Mine your insides first.....

I am not shaking hands at this time but if it happened, I'd ask for a splash of their sanitizer.
