Makes one wonder what folks are doing with all that stuff.
Have not been in a store for months, no plans to start this week.

Same here, from what I've seen posted online. Costco in Santa Clarita even had to the the Sheriffs out there for crowd control.

We have 55 markets for a 100,000 population. All is well in our neck of the woods. Trader Joe's was busy, I picked up a few items and was out in 10 minutes. Every cash register was attended and no long lines. A

Everything is closed. So the only place people can congregate and swap germs is at the grocers, pharmacies and retail outlets.
The whole idea of "What if they are right?" has everyone equipping for the plan B and C. Are we in for a eventual declaration of Marshal Law and a two week lock down. Now that would be history making and the nay-sayers and supports all claiming to have been the savior of the nation.
We won't be done with this until after the election.

My grocery stores were busier on Thursday when a neighboring county found e-coli in the water supply and everyone was out buying water, juice and milk. Yesterday, it was very quiet.

It is madness here in Phoenix. EVERY store is out of toilet paper, including Staples/Officemax. Water is in short supply at most stores. Costco & Walmart have been crazy. Cannot find a parking space in the lots.
I was able to get some milk and cereal at Target today. Lots of Easter candy available.

Our retailers are no busier then usual. Most still have toilet paper and hand sanitizer. So what do I think... there is some sanity on this planet Richie Alan Naggar .

Empty toilet paper only, no major lines, normal grocery shopped today. Normal lines, no panic...except bottled water hoarders were a plenty (why?)

yes, started off with no carts this morning which tells you how it is going to go. The restocking people were completely in shock at the stuff people were buying.

We had cops protecting trucks at the receiving dock at Target yesterday apparently. I am sure it was as much for honestly if the receiving employee as preventing a rush from the general public on the truck. So yes, there are empty shelves as well as lines here too.

Lots of food because we have well stocked pantries, root cellars with the winter supply of potatoes, squash, onions, canned pickles, tomatoes, beets, beans and freezer with the same home grown farm to table. Small rural areas easily survive anything... no crowds, not hard to stay 6 feet or more from any people.

Orange County - albertons 2 hour wait last night (I didn't wait) Costco - shipped in pallets and tons of toilet paper in 3 stores gone in 2 hours.
South OC - less paniced than Irvine and Newport in the North, not sure why
Canyon Lake. Elsinore, Temecula and forth shelves empty with long lines
