No, I'm not seeing events canceled in my area although I have seen a bunch canceled elsewhere. I'm going to the same amount of gatherings.

Since I live the San Francisco Bay Area, I think you already know that many events are being canceled or rescheduled or held with empty arenas at sporting events.

Yes, of course. We are the new epicenter. Governor has declared state of emergency (to help) and there is a quarantine zone for a mile around that temple and the National Guard is coming in tomorrow. It's lovely. I'm glad I can work at home, am stocked up and just ordering food delivery on line.
many schools are closed.
I'm 20 mins north of the problem area.

I am not seeing events cancelled in my area ... although I heard on the news that an event at a college in Milwaukee was shut down. I don't know ... this is not going to stop me.

Yes, many events are getting canceled; colleges are going to online studies and yes, I am trying to stay away from large gatherings.

Will ~ We have seen several smaller school and municipal events canceled, but not too many yet. Travel is becoming THE thing that is under a microscope. One local firm has a new policy that any employee who travels within the US has to work from home (self quarantine) for 5 business days upon their return, then visit their physician and bring a note from them before entering the office. No exceptions.

Nothing really here but, I am sure NC & SC will follow suit with the rest of the country soon.
Had a meeting with a marketing group this morning and one of the members is in the 'epicenter' now in Washington State and the craziness she shared with the group made me thankful I'm on the East Coast!

Hi Will- sadly they decided to cancel the remainder of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo because they learned that the latest person who may have the Coronavirus attended the BBQ Cookoff held at the site of the rodeo. That said, the rest of those who have the virus here had traveled out of the country. That said, it's business as usual for me.

Events here are getting canceled daily. More schools and colleges announced today that they are closing, and told students to work from home. Arlington Historical Society canceled their scheduled meeting. Public transportation like the commuter trains in and out of DC are taking it day by day. Events with large crowds like at Wolftrap Farm Park https://www.wolftrap.org/ are suppossedly considering postponing concerts and events. It's day by day here, but I see the panic level increasing. Just in: NBA canceled rest of the season, and Loudoun public schools closed overnight. Also nursing homes and assisted living facilities are closed and quarentined. People can not visit their relatives in those facilities. By now hopefully people will believe how serious this virus is.

It has become disastrous with events being canceled and events being played with no crowds. I guess FREE FREE FREE might not be the answer medically or educationally speaking since no one will be finding cures for the next pandemic.

Yes, Cochella and Stagecoach (major music festivals) have cancelled. USC, Pepperdine, Chapman, Cal State Long Beach and UCLA are moving their classes online.
Yes, I am going to less gatherings. Given some of the news released today "Outbreak will get worse, Top US Health Official", "198 new dead in Italy in last 24 hours" it is prudent.

Will,
Tonight we are going to an early release for the I STILL BELIEVE movie that is being released this weekend at the Lafayette IMAX. Wouldn't miss it for anything as we attended church with the parents( who will be played by Gary Sinese and Shania Twain) of Christian singer Jeremy Camp.

Yes, all events with more than 100 people have been cancelled. I am staying close to home until the authorities figure out how this virus is spreading.... better safe than sorry because I am 64 years old and I invested wisely in real estate to I can wait out the storm

New Jersey is slowly shutting down.
My mother's physician advised her to avoids crowds. I think safe is better than sorry.

Second if not 3rd infected county in the US with a deadbody or two. I have not been to my brokerage new office. A grand opening invitation declined.
If 500K gets infected as suggested that will be too bad. I wear mask when outside.
