I've learned there are cliques everywhere and often adults act like they're in middle school.  There are playground bullies everywhere and come in all demographics.  If the teacher doesn't step in, things get quickly out of hand.  Detention or removal is sometimes a necessary evil.  Bad behaviour or manipulation of the rules, should not be rewarded.

When people get along, we learn more, we respond more and we grow.

The importance of networking with others in this industry.

Can't just have one - like potato chips. 

As Carol Williams has stated, it would be impossible to say ONE or the TOP thing and it would extend far beyond business.   Consistency as mentioned by Bob Crane is expressed often here and in so many different ways.  The topic of "mindfulness" "being aware" and "remaining present" as written by Ron and Alexandra Seigel and others has become a part of my life.  Personal and professional seem to intertwine through ActiveRain and that has been a big surprise for me - an especially nice one.  

It would be impossible to pick one thing. I've learned that the members of this community are very compassionate and generous with their knowledge.

Overall, it's not so much what I've learned as the people I've met through this platform. I've met some of them in person and hope to meet many more.

Consistent Blogging - and all that falls under that category - niches, linking, long tail, you know!

I enjoy reading what the real estate market is like around the US.  And there are so many wonderful individuals that I follow and have learned from so many.  And everyday I learn something new here.  A.

Me? eh, nothing.  I'm a do what I am told licensed husband of a broker/owner.  I've read, commented and played here while on a workman's comp injury, surgery and recovery from my "day job". I may end up doing real estate full time sooner rather than later though. Thus the reading.

ActiveRain is a relationship builder with professionals who are willing to share sales knowledge, some do it with a sense of humor while with others, it comes with practical sensibility. Usually, those who do not play nice, find the back door pretty quick!

Technology tips.   Many share their knowledge here in the Rain and assists us in our personal business.

The importance of consistently following systems, like the habits that earn points while teaching us to do the right things that will make our web presence explode.

There are probably a dozen 'top' things - not just one! I have established some incredible friendships here while simultaneously garnering business from using SEO friendly terms in my hyperlocal blog. I have learned everything there is to know about social media here, while giving and receiving countless referrals over the years.

And, hats off to those who share honestly here - they are who they say they are; they are helpful and caring - class acts. One name, especially, comes to mind when it comes to honesty and helpfulness - Barbara Todaro.  

I have written entire blog posts about this very topic over the years. I am so very grateful for everyone here...and all of life's lessons, both personal and professional!

I'm like glue to Ron and Alexandra Seigel 's blog....I read every one of them on marketing and BRANDING..... all real estate agents are marketing agents....the Seigels should be #1 with followers on this site....

I have learned much and part of what I have learned is that I have a lot to learn.

We are professional, care about each other, take pride in serving the best interest of the clients we serve and belong to an extraordinary fraternity and sorority.

I could make a fairly long list. Without AR i may never of had the interaction with agents and indurstry folk from acorss the country. Many turned to friendships. The amount of advice is incredible. A willingness to learn, be taught and open. Learning how others do things. Learning how mot to do things. Who knew others experienced similar things and feelings to me. Here in NH the big companies are not friendly and live to crush competition. Where AR is open to all, big, little and medium. Everyone is equal. You get what you put in. 

Be careful what you blog for...Becoming too personal or less professional is picked up and becomes a cyberspace keepsake. We are marketing here

I've learned so much here in the Rain BUT I can not think of "one" single thing. More then anything the overall support from friends made here makes the Rain invaluable.

Listen to your customer! You have to really get to know and listen to your client in order to serve them best.
