Yes, the electric company provided the report at no charge. Even though report indicated no issues, buyers were not convinced and decided not to purchase the home.
And I remember at the time being told the emissions from the toaster in the kitchen were more than from the lines.
Those emissions are everywhere.

No never.
I have a client that works for SDG&E as an engineer. He says it’s all BS fear and assumptions when it comes to EMFs.
No proof of cancer etc.
He’s got no reason to lie, he’s an independent contractor. Not a company man.

No but I have known people to be concerned over this. I did not know that there was a test for this. Who does it?
Are those people licensed or are they psychics? No offense to our lovely Candice A. Donofrio .

actually, I had a 32 lot subdivision that was bordered by high tension wires....the very large pedestals.... you could actually hear buzzing in the backyard of the homes that bordered those pedestals.... the builder/developer had electro magnetic testing done...inside and outside of the homes he built on speculation.... there was more of a reading inside than outside.... but that was all within a normal range....
and everything sells.... we get resales there now!!!

No.
My clients typically do not want a home close to power lines. I stay away from potential problems that may haunt the buyer after closing.

In PA the microwave towers were fairly dense throughout the Philadelphia suburbs in the 80's. Occasionally the need to identify the transmission paths were sometimes requested by Buyers. One in particular exceeded the "allowable" radiation levels all too frequently. Lawsuits eventually brought it down a few years before their use was abandoned. I guess 5 or 6 EMF reports were requested and half nixed those potential sales.

Going way back into the recesses of my memory and I recall seeing such a report but I don't remember the exact situation. Maybe it was a class/seminar where the topic was being discussed. Unfortunately, I don't remember the details.

Jeff,
I have seen this happen. The facility was a mile away, and we had a report that had been issued by an independent as well as the report from the facility. Both were in agreement, and all went well.

Seller has never provided a EMF report.
Has a buyer ever been concerned. Hell YES!
So I have a Tri-Field meter. And yes, EMF radiation is EVERYWHERE.
The real issue becomes. "What are you going to do about if you must live among people?"
By a magnitude of 100, EMF radation is greater inside the house. So, one can choose to not go wireless and hardwire everything. Sounds like a solution but the wi-fi is still on even if nothing is connected. Thermostats and refrigerator and TV and Alexia are all generating EMF inside the house. And even if everything was identified and shielded, including the digital power meter, The rush to 5G and it's use of the currently untested frequencies up to 900 giga hertz (current technology uses 2.5 to 10 gHZ) and can be installed on a light post in front of your house WITHOUT notification. Current detection meters do not measure those frequences.
For those who are hyper EMF sensitive...the future looks bleak.
I think it is a real concern. But much like plastics and China, you can't get rid of them.
In my case a seller walked away when the meter crossed the threshold due to the residential power transmission lines.

I have never seen a report, but there was much caution in regard to power lines on the part of buyers (and rightfully so!), particularly among those with children.

I haven't had buyers include an EMF on an inspection report. However there is a cool little app for the iPhone that allows me to check EMF readings which is quite accurate!
4,693,582
I have not heard about that, so I would have to say no, a seller of mine has never provided such a report.
469,510
No, never had a seller provide a report - but the topic, like many other topics has two very polarized views. For sure, the buyer pool is much smaller for any home near high powered transmission lines or substations. In our area I would guess that somewhere around 2/3rds of the public would not buy homes under or near high voltage transmission lines or next to a substation regardless of any reports provided to them.
