It is important to watch the video to know what the Evil empire is up to. No not the Yankees,  Z and RF. Here is the thing, their fake articles based on their own research will sway some. But many consumers see through it. For me get me in front of a consumer and i can make them my client. One of the most powerful things is looking into their eyes and answering their questions most often about the confusion that Z and RF cause.

Here we go again...the Z hair on fire because they are ruining our business model.  I am super confident in my business model and even more confident in the wealth of knowledge I have when representing clients.  Getting upset on a discussion about fee only is ludicrous.  Talk about knowledge.  Change the discussion.  Want cheap?  Great.  Know how little they know?  Having Z and RF in the world give me fantastic examples of how little they do for their clients.  Story after story about low appraisals that lost someone with an outstanding house tens of thousands of dollars because they wanted to save $3K.  

Does any other profession get so tweaked when the snake oil salesmen enter the realm of marketing.  The late night informmercials from doctors and lawyers enter my mind.  Do you think a really great attorney worries about those guys?  NO!

Capitalism is the American way.  You aren't going to rid the nation of these companies.  Find a way to thrive.  Become better at what you do.  Believe in yourself and let this roll off your back.  The world isn't fair and neither is business.  Whining and crying about the industry disrupters is pointless.  Just shows fear and weakness.

2 thoughts:

1. I think we all agree there should be transparency regarding price gouging and junk fees by unlicensed parties. I'd love to see them investigated. But I don't trust our government, and I don't trust NAR. This should be going to state associations to educate at that level.

2. Somewhat surprised at the comments there. Lots of talk of fee percentage amounts. Quite a few have noted their longevity in this business. So it's not like they wouldn't know not to cite fees.

 As long as real estate agent (REALTORS) refuse to stand up for themselves and drag the evil doers into the sunshine of transparency, they will continue to be the victim.

This is an industry of deception and misrepresentation. From the start the 'I'm an industry observer in real estate school' to the agent currency of Success Theater, Vanity Metrics and Surrogate Endpoints. What is taking place is CRIMINAL DECEPTION in my opinion.

And when agents pay Zdevil $1,000 a month and/or 35% referral fee, this states very clearly, we don't have a leg to stand on regarding integrity and transparency. 

Tell your Broker, tell your Franchise, tell your association you need to see a change. Then start indemnifying the non-member brokers or get your own shingle, and select the non-association venues to make the change a reality.

Yes, I know, that takes courage, so let's sign the petition.
