as others have suggested it would likely behoove you to initiate a written support ticket with your issue, and would likely escalate to a call if they cannot resolve via mail. With the limited Staff, I believe they are able to better manage issues and filter up which ones actually need phone resolution.

Because their process doesn't work that way. You'll find the same with a lot of large companies you do business with. It's not profitable having humans on call to field problems when you can email a ticket in & their monkeys will work through the tickets one at a time.
