No I would not. For me this kind of thing is just too "hokey."

Your conduct and dress at an open house should be a clear indication of who is running the show.

I kind of like the idea of a polo with the company logo.  No call to action or anything specific to this open house.  But the polo with the typical logo.  You could also have your name embroidered on it as well.

To me, the first rule is still, people like to buy, not be sold. Rarely in luxury situations would you see team shirts unless it were to identify the support staff. I would opt for professional, “trusted adviser attire.”

Not for me.  I invest in marketing yet not that kind of marketing. I also am not a big fan of open houses.  I rarely do them.  When I first started in the business 16+ years ago I did opens all the time. It was a great way for me to build my business. Never. Not once ever. Did I sell a home I hosted open!

No.  Dressing professionally will make it obvious who is who out here.  Plus my name on the sign and my photo on the flyer.  Not to mention greeting everyone as they enter.

Our team shows up in dress clothes and name tags, absolutely NO TShirts, people know who is in charge when they see our professionalism.

1st of all what the heck is "the self-selection mechanisms" Annette Lawrence , Palm Harbor, FL 727-420-4041 ?  The rest of the question is also nonsence to me being I always did my own open houses by myself unless a family member wanted to keep me company.

I agree with Kathleen Daniels that never once have I sold a house that I hosted open, but I had great success "packing them in" with this scenario.

If you are going to do an open house then you should look the part of an agent!

I already have polo's with the logo and more than likely have a tie and name tag on.

First off I rarely see many agents doing open houses and when I do its only a single agent in the house.

There are some guys here who have all their shirts monogrammed so they can write them off. So, that isn't a bad idea. I think as for the open house, it really depends on what it says, price point and the market. It could be receptive depending on the market.

No, my sign in the yard, red carpet with red velvet rope and stanchions says it all and is branding enough.
