My spouse and boss are one in the same.  In my younger years I would proably call them out.  Now days I would just look right pass on it.

I'm not okay with people stealing my photos or articles I write but, a good deed...they can have the credit - especially if it makes the world a better place. 🌍 

The good deed is the reward, taking credit is not important, humility is a virtue.

Well it depends, but I suspect it may not be something I want to get too upset about. Life's too short and there are more important life issues to worry about!

I don't have a boss... I am the boss of me. That's why I'm an independent contractor.

My spouse would have a very hard time taking credit for something I did... he knows his life wouldn't be worth a plug nickel if he did that!

It depends on who it was and what the good deed was. A few years ago my husband ordered my MIL cheesecake of the year for her birthday. She loved sweets and she loved cheesecake. She assumed I ordered it and called and thanked me. My husband was with me and she said, "and thank you too honey". We just laughed about it. I offered to tell her the truth about who ordered it but, my husband said , no, it's fine. Don't tell her. Well, every month when her cheesecake arrived, she would call me to thank me. We never told her the truth. Now you are in on our secret! 

In view of the end of the story I don't let something like this bother me.

That's called 90% of bosses in the corporate world.  Word gets out about them quickly.

I would embed something in the future to show I created the material.  A watermark or a particular phrase.  I may also copy other people as witnesses that I sent the information.

Many ways to skin that cat.

The point is to do something good without asking for anything in return.

The books that God keeps are the only ones that matter...Go from there

Would the answer change depending on who took the action?  Of course it would.  The answer would change based any number of variables, which is why this question is too broad.

I don't need credit I just need to honor Harriette every day with quietly helping others.... 

A - I don't do good deeds for the "credit"

B- if it was work related and my boss had a boss I'd mention it was my thing infront of my boss to my bosses' boss

C- My wife would never do that to me

It depends on what it was and who took the credit.  Life is short. I do choose my battles.  I choose to focus on doing good and what makes me happy. I spend little energy on things that could keep me in an unhappy or upset state. 

It has happened in the past and I just move on.

There is an abundance of good stuff we do daily, and frankly I do not care who gets the credit.  I don't have a boss, and Ron and I do not care about who gets credit.  Life is way too precious to spend time worrying about this.  The only credit I care about checking is a refund on a credit card.  A

It may depend what it is, who did it and it did it matter if they knew. Most likely I woul correct them in front of the person that i did good for.
