Mohib- - -Texas is a big state and purchasing real estate is a big decision in anyone's life. I would suggest being a bit more specific in your real estate purchasing goals as it relates to location as well as other factors. Online is one route to reaching your goal but you might find that a local real estate professional who shows/shares knowledge of the field and the area will bring you the best results. Good luck.

What does 'On-line service" mean?

Are you asking can you make a real estate purchase in Texas without going to Texas? That answer is YES. Any agent can help you.

If 'ON-LINE' means you want to purchase using Bit Coin, via a anonimized system, that is a bit more problematic.

IF your question is neither of those....here we go...

Check Craig's List for a house in Texas being sold FSBO or by an investor.

Give them a box full of cash, maybe they will take Bitcoin, have a TX attorney or title company create new title. Move in.

What could possibly go wrong?  EVERYTHING!

Like with all online services the first thing needed is mechanism for paying.  You COULD buy using your American Express card. However, most real estate transactions are completed using dollars held in a bank. That money must have a paper trail ensuring the real estate transaction is not a money laundering scheme.

Now that you have clean money. send it to whoever is selling the real estate and request they send you the keys in return.

When you move into your house, please come back here to tell us your story. You will be the poster child for the LUCKIEST house buyer in the USA. It is more likely you will have paid for a house that was not for sale.

There are too many things that can go wrong, to many variables, too few checks and verifications in place at this time for the online purchase of real estate. You are well advised to stick with the traditional route and hire a professional......unless you are feeling really lucky at this time.

The nature of your question suggests you are not an experienced house buyer or seller. You should not 'go it alone' when large dollar amounts are involved.

Now, be aware, if your intent is to use some exotic methods to make a real estate purchase, you will not be able to use an agent with a major franchise. They have neither the experience, education, permission or willingness to help you. Instead look for a non-franchise broker or perhaps the elites found at investor focused brokerages who are the transaction architects of the industry.

Best of success,

Annette

Mohib,

Having been a Texas broker in the past there are many, many considerations before buying in Texas.

Texas does not have a personal income tax so property taxes are high and can vary greatly even within a given subdivision.

Texas is relatively flat and can get a lot of rain in short periods of time so flood zones and flooding history are very important.

Because of the high temperatures and humidity mold is an issue. You need the “right” AC system.

I can go on and on.

I don’t mean to scare you but you need an agent who is an expert in representing a buyer in Texas.

You can certainly "shop" online but please please please do NOT buy a house without a local agent representing and protecting you through this very important decision.

There are many good agents in every locale wherever you are interested in buying a home.  Be sure to secure a local agent who knows the market well... not just an agent in the State.

Mohib, Please use a realtor for any purchase in any state, not just Texas.

There is so much fraud online that you could be scammed. CraigsList is one of the worst, scammers poach legitimate listings that agents have in the MLS and post the pics and descriptions on CL under their name and scamming people.

It happened to me once a few years ago with one of my listings but luckily I learned about it before any harm was done.

Another thing to watch for is wire fraud when wiring funds to a title agency (we are not an attorney state) but that is another conversation.

For your protection, you need to work with a good realtor. I hope you will not go the online route, it can be very dangerous, even the auction sites. Please reconsider.
