when I was actively working, the people in my office did a "rain dance" on weekends.... people come out in the rain....  my attitude has always been, "the more people you meet, the better..they're future buyers and sellers...."

be memorable so they call you in the future and tell their friends and family about you....

and it all begins with proper marketing.... invite them and they will come...

I find buyers come out in the rain

Well, here in Charlotte I've often felt that too many people are a bit of wuss! A bit of rain and and seek shelter. On the other hand, there are those who might just come out because there's nothing else to do when it rains.

Closing your eyes on the couch is a good way to bring in a group of buyers.

In my area we rarely have people standing in line ... If you get one person coming through the door ... work it! 

Rainy days do not produce well here for open houses.  That is when its time to do a facebook live to draw them in.

Rain can have postive effect on some, and negative effect on others.

I recently sold one of my listings to a buyer during a crazy, rainy open house - AND it was out in no-man's-land too (not in Charlotte Proper). Who knew?! I surely didn't think I'd find my buyer that day! 

Typically in California, we think the world is going to wash away when it rains, so we stay home and start building our arks.  Yes "real buyers will be out there" but there are few of those that come to open houses that can't come another time with their agent.  Plus, the seller may not want wet feet leaving dirt and water marks across their floors or carpets.  Mine usually cancel the open houses for that reason when it rains.

Been there.  Never wanting to close my eyes on the couch. I'd rather watch the rain.  Rain may be a factor in my area however some will not let the rain stop them.  It does not stop me.

never know. If you do not watch muddy shoe prints all over brand new hardwood flooring...

Rain would put more people at opens and less people at the lake in this region.  Hope you had a successful event!

Summer time rain and open houses are not a problem.  Now winter time that is another story.

I wish we had a rain.... two weeks of 100f+ in here. Yesterday I was touring houses with first time buyers for the first time at 104f. It was brutal.

How was it? 

On rainy days here, there is not much if any traffic.

Rain is not great for a open house.  I check the weather first everytime.

Rain does not thwart OH activity here although our lightning often will. We're #1 in intensity and number of strikes.
