Shee-it. I not only do not have those, I have little Post-its over every computer and smart TV aperture in my house.

We are all insecure. Make your financial status have three silos that do not intertwine- don't link accounts, don't duplicate passwords, check them on a schedule as you would the thermostat in your house

Even without such things, security of every type is a concern. Be informed. Stay aware. Buy a "bomb shelter". The "survival" options are truly "out there".

I have two Blink cameras. One in the front and one in the back. I also have two wireless thermostats. So far I have not had any issues with security. I am sure if some skilled hacker wanted to atack me they probably could. But in all honesty, my information is everywhere. At my bank, my online accounts, my broker's account, my website, Facebook, Google, etc. All I can do is be diligent and watch for problems.

What an incredible question.
The question reveals who is:
Risk oblivious
Risk tolerant
Risk intolerant
Risk DEFIANT!
5th generation is ALL about embedding sensors in EVERYTHING. Everything, with the growth of IoT, can watch. listen, predict, adjust and even tell you what you are thinking. And for some, I must add, this would be an improvement.
SO if one keeps their eyes on their own paper, in toady's world, which 'risker' are they?
I own an Eq380 that has RF spectrum analysis. That means it can find bugs and hidden cameras and those things emitting RF or even WI-FI or BlueTooth signals. Yep I can even intercept the signals from you key fob to your ride. Everything has the capacity to SPY on you. So, if you are feeling a little paranoid, think someone, something is watching you....you are right.
And it doesn't delete that stuff.
The same technology used in 5th Gen cellular is used by the military to disrupt the physology of the human cell structure for riot/crowd dispersion. It leterrally makes the flesh feel as if on fire and the crowd disperses. And we are about to be saturated in lower levels but unbroken exposure duration...
It is good advise to be aware and knowledgeable about this technology promise that comes with a bag of surprises.
My advise regarding 'security' is to take measures to make sure they find the decoy you and not the one that can be harmed.

We do have Alexa and enjoy using it. If someone is actually listening and finds value in our conversations about aesthetics or banter about whether or not the dog got fed, or other such things, it's not overly concerning for me. If someone "wants" to know what's going on in your home there are lots of ways it can be done with or without such devices as Alexa, Ring etc.
Best to simply dance like nobody's watching regardless if they are or not and enjoy the ride.

It is not the hackers we need to worry about as much as the profiles being created about us as these companies share our data. These profiles are being used to influence our decision making process which is dangerous for society overall. Once they know what influences our decicion making process they can manipulate society as a whole. Big tech censorship is just a blip on the radar compared to the manipulation of our thought process.

LOL! There is a reason I don't allow them in the house. Saw today that Alexa doesn't delete your info and shares it freely. Amazon even had "quality control" people that would listen to commands to make sure they were processed correctly.
Nest thermostats had a hidden camera inside that allowed prior homeowners to spy on new owners.

The more wireless networked devices are integrated into your overall network, the less your information becomes secure as you are subjected to the weakest device in the bunch. And you don't know which one it is.
