My transactions are paperless but, on occasion, I do print for reference purposes, etc. 

It seems like a better theory than in practice in my opinion and in observation.  

I use paper during a transaction - copies of listings with notes on them, etc. Once a closing is complete, I scan everything into one file and store it electronically. So no, I'm not paperless but also don't have a lot of paper around.

As a matter of convenience we do most things electronically, though we know that not using paper is not good for the environment any more than not hiring people is good for the economy.

Yes! I don't know if there is true paperless. 

We are essentially paperless in terms of document storage at my brokerage. I've been "paperless" in terms of brokerage documentation for going on a decade now, but that doesn't mean there aren't some documents that I don't print during the course of the transaction for quick and easy reference.

I have digital backups on digital backups but I still keep paper files. It has served me well to do so.

Not totally but pretty much so.  I still print out listings for tours and I still have some clients that want to sign hard copy rather than electronic signatures.

I have not Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS and as a Notary Public I doubt it will happen in my lifetime. (besides I LOVE paper, it's a good renewable crop)

Not completely, there are things that i like to keep a paper copy of as a back up. Recently a bank error was found and my records got me my money back.

Not entirely but I do try to manage the waste.  I do recall being told by someone who works in the conservation field that trees are one of the world's most renewable resources...  If he's not panicking, I'm not going to. 

Retired from active sales before it became more common, so never was really paperless!

Too often practices must conform to the capacity of those we must work with. There are still those buyers and sellers not connected to the Internet.

Yes.  For several years.  BackAgent transaction management system has helped us reduce the amount of paper records.

Yes. I have boxs only for 2011 and have to get motivated to shred. 2012-2019 office files in pdf.

No and I have no plans to go 100% paperless.  Trees grow jobs.  And if I get audited they are getting my boxed files not access to my computer.

Only pdf files are excepted for transaction in our office.

I went paperless 12 years ago by simply adding Docusign and my office went paperless from inception 8 years ago.

Yes and it is imperative to back-up all your business files with a service like Carbonite. I had to use file recovery this year when my primary storage drive died.

Yes, I have gone totally paperless a few years ago. Everything is scanned and digitized if not already in e-form. My archival system sits on a secret secure private server. But the practice still generates hard copy paper, why I still have one single filing cabinet in my office. And that from time to time gets cleaned out.

I do have a paper and electronic file.

I have not yet because I think computers will all crash some day.

Once in a while I have to print for a customer who does not do well with electronics. I scan, save, upload and give them the original for their copy. You will like it a lot when you are all paperless.

Paul ~ The brokerage I am with only accepts digital files for listings & contracts, but I maintain a hard copy.  I only print out the final iterations of the contract or addendum, but I can guarantee that when I bring my organized legal folder to the settlement table, that I can search my folder faster than the other agent squinting at their cell phone screen trying to read 10 point font.

No.  It's not in our best interest to go fully paperless.  There is always a reason to have a blank contract with you when holding an open house, showing property or taking a listing.  They do get digitized and the physical copy destroyed though.

Yes Paul we are almost 100% paperless with a whole lot of security added on.  Pretty crazy out there these days.....

Everything's scanned & saved but I couldn't run things 100% truly paperless.  We have to print the CMA & forms for when we meet people.  I handle a lot of documentation on our preforeclosure deals & that requires paper for the dinosaurs that still want things faxed to them. Many reasons to keep your paper close by.
