It's great news while it lasts. I always worry a bit when I see these kinds of situations... what goes up can come down with a bang! But certainly great news for home sellers right now.

Wow! Didn't know.  Now I'm going to have to go look and see what happened in Columbus OH. Were homes way under valued and now catching up? new jobs? I'd say this is great news for that part of the country.

I've not given it any thought because I had no clue Dennis Swartz but back in 2010 -2013 Western ND was the hottest market in the USA and being number 1 has it's own sets of problems. It passed and so will your market. In the mean time expect the number of agents to about double which means you will lose sales to rookies with relatives, a shortage of sellers, and uninformed idiots who think they can buy homes in your very hot market contract for deed.

I can only imagine how much more house you'd be able to buy for the money there. Back a few years ago Money Magazine rated Danbury one of the top 80 places to live in the United States.

that's where we were 2 years ago.... now we're maintaining a steady flow of listings.... full price if priced properly today.... multiple offers if slightly under market....

What is the underlying cause of the sales activity?

I did not know that.  It's not a place I would want to live.

It is pretty hot in most places. I have 6 new listings in 14 days. 4 of which already under contract. 7 total under contract in 14 days. 

Wow! I had not heard that. Congratulations! Enjoy & appreciate it. We seem to have a good amount of people moving here from OH. Of course, they move here from everywhere. We've been high and steady for years and still going strong. No big bubble, just a steady stream of people. 

I say, GO COLUMBUS and go Dennis Swartz, get your fair share of brisk business while you can!

Clearly too much availability of TAX dollars available to bloated capital city coffers. It is a sign gov't is getting BIGGER in Columbus.

I think statisticians are working their magic also.

When you number crunch the MLS & Tax websites by price segment, do you see the same results?  Or is this data, deemed factual, burped from Zdevil?

Here is something of interest you should confirm via freedom of information. Of the top paid 250 government employees, over 150 are in one profession and it isn't law or government.
