the best price we found was a local printer with low overhead.... the total cost including delivering to the post office is .55/ jumbo jumbo postcard....the postcard is 6" x 9 5/8 "  ,....top quality stock.... our first mailing with it brought 5 listing calls.... 

I mailed to 7,423 is our exact database count.....but we get calls from people who saved our postcards..... 

our average listing call is $500k-$600k

Barbara Todaro is our expert on all things mailing.  I know some people her use local printers and prefer them.  If memory serves, Barbara may use one as well.  She does an incredible volume though.

The vendors I've looked at of late have all had various pricing tiers.

For geographic farming, EDDM (Every Door Direct Marketing or as I call it "Every Darned Door Marketing") has been mentioned often as a good way to cheaply mail to a specific area.

I haven't shopped alot but the least expensive I know of is express copy at expresscopy.com and another good one is postcardmania. Both are known for good prices. I have used expresscopy.com and was happy with the product and the price. They could print double sided, recycle friendly laminated, color both side, and postage for about the same price I was paying just for a stamp. I originally made and mailed my own.

If you're not sending something specific to your location cost does not matter. There will be little response relative to a focused long term effort. You'll want at least 3 years of mailing usable information before reaping a consistent benefit. You'll know when people on the street recognize your face if a profile picture is being used.
