I have done both and while I do love representing builders and the construction process, you can list and sell more resale homes.
If you're referring to buyers, we typically have fewer issues with new construction but, I also love, love, love selling them older homes too!

I like them both. I work them both because, depending on the buyer, each has their advantages depending on needs.
For those who want a warranty on everything and to potentially pick out details such as appliances, flooring and colors- new homes are great.
For those who want to be able to see what the neighborhood, and their home for that matter, will look like- resale is great.
In the final analysis, I'm not the home buyer- my client is. So it matters little what my preferences are. I'm here to serve the client's needs.

You mean as a builder's rep? I wasn't drawn to that because I wanted to learn about many different kinds of transactions and you're basically learning just one over and over.
As a buyer's agent? New construction is great. Many moving parts, but a lot less for a buyer to be unhappy about post-closing, and here builders warranty for two years. And there are fewer unknowns than a 50 year old house with several previous owners.

New construction.
New construction is so rare, buyers tend to be less critical, more naive exhibiting less paranoia knowing the builder can still be found in the model house should something need corrected.
The voice of the house inspectors is greatly muffled in an environment where a warranty on EVERYTHING is still in affect.

Definitely resale as large corporation/builders seem to be constantly trying to figure out a way of screwing commisssions out of real estate agents

resale is quicker, I still don't trust a builder no matter how good it is going.
The masses just love new construction - the smell of a new house is just like a new car .... hard to beat.

Mostly resale, only a few new builds and I prefer re-sale hands down.

I love new construction. For many years working out of a model home and selling homes. I love the new construction life. Resales pose a steady flow of income and satidfction. But it takes work to build inventory, get them sold, attract new listings and get referrals. Once you do it is like a well oiled machine

New construction is easier, but it doesn't hone my craft.
Resale is more work and makes me the expert I am.
I enjoy a mix of both and do work both.

At the end of my RE career I worked ONLY with new construction and I spent my whole career working towards that goal. When you work with builders and developers you list ALL there homes so it's not one here and one there. New construction seldom needs to be "fixed" before closing. It's just a lot cleaner in all aspects.

once that new construction bug bites you, you'll be a loyal follower and search for new subdivisions to list....
I always did resales, but once you have a subdivision, you won't have time to play with resale homes.... you'll refer them.... if you have a team, you'll refer them to team members.... and everyone will have plenty of business....

I have done both and I have enjoyed both. What is best is taking advantage of the opportunity that currently presents itself.

I have had both good and bad experience with both. So we are pretty equal. I love sales of any kind so I will take any that comes my way.

I have no problem bringing a buyer to new construction, just make sure you register them before their first visit otherwise "bye-bye commission." Wouldn't want to work sales, that's too much like a 8-5 job.

I don't have a preference. Each transaction is different. Some are better than others.
