VERBATIM went out of business years ago. People do not use floppy disc technology anymore-gone with the wind. It will apply to buyer agent soon here too.

How long has it been since one has spent much time on practicing scripts? It's often best to learn them verbatim - until you own it. Then get creative.
If you really really want to get something down cold - practice it verbatim first with a cheat sheet then without. Look up any words one is stumbling on (or look for a misundertood word just before the stumble if it's at the same place everytime).

It is interesting how things gone missing are not noticed until our brain makes the link and resuscitates an old idea and for those with devices for ears, described as archaic words, ideas and values.
I think VERBATIM has sunset because it requires way too much mental effort to do so and no one wants to exert mental effort (unless related to their tribe) but prefer flowing in a river of truth perceptions.
Sacrifice and obedience are also words seldom herd in the context of personal traits.
So what else has gone missing?
