I prefer kitchen cabinets that are white or ivory. I like the look of espresso colored cabinets, but they show wear and tear too quickly and I don't have them in my houses.

While I think cherry cabinets are beautiful, white/cream is what I prefer. They're like a white car, so much easier to keep clean!

It depends on the house the kitchen and a million other things. Do I like white cabinets? No. Do I have white cabinets in my house, yes. My nephew just told me he couldn't believe I haven't already nuked them. I told him I'm a Capricorn, if it's still useful, it stays. ♑

     Bright and light kitchen, go with light oak.

I grew up with white cabinets and loved everything my dear mother made in that kitchen for many, many years.  

Today, my kitchen has warm oak cabinets.  Love 'em and my husband loves everything I cook.

I prefer a darker cabinet and light colored walls. My kitchen has cherry cabinets, but they are flat front with no detail so they are more modern looking.

The thing with white, is every one i have seen always seems to fade or dirty 5 or o years down the road. They can brighten a small space where Cherry is very prestigious.

I can't vote for something I can see but it depends on a lot of variables.The size of the kitchen, paint and appliance colors, etc. all have to be considered.

In general, I prefer white but not if the all the appliances are white...too sterile looking.

It depends on what other accents are in the room. I'm just getting ready to remodel my kitchen and I'm bouncing all over the place because of the awesome photos online of different cabinet layouts and colors.

I'll have to make this decision myself and on the one hand, I am so over the white Shaker cabinet but I can't see myself doing espresso.  If I go with a white cabinet, then I'd like the island to have black or navy painted cabs.  Ahhh the choices!

I feel like it depends on the overall style of the home. The dark colors can be pretty in a larger home that can handle the darker shade.
