I've used it when I had to deliver a quick message to someone and I know it's someone who would keep me on the phone chatting for 30 minutes about nothing when I didn't have time to chat. But I don't use it to market... that's just a form of robocalling to me.

Slydial has been around for a long time. It's like any other tool... you need to know why you'r using it and for what purpose.

I did use it, and loved it!  I haven't used it since I retired.  Mainly, I used it for ONE investor client who was a huge time drain.  I managed 16 of his rentals. If I called him with a quick message I was on the phone for an hour.   We talked every day as it was.  That was plenty. 

I would NEVER use it for the purpose you described.

I most certainly do.

When I am unsure the one I am calling is not going to answer (time-hole) I do use SlyDial to protect my time.

However, I never us slydial for marketing purposes.

Like any good tool, there will be those who will pervert it.

No, though I've had some reps offer it or similar tools.  It's not something that has yet made it into my tool box, although I do like the fact that since it doesn't CALL the phone, it bypasses the Do Not Call list (according to the rep I talked to).

No, I hate it.  There are training programs that advise LOs to call Realtors with sly dials (the training system I used suggested doing it on Fridays) and leaving a message

 

If I dont want to talk with someone, I dont call them.  If I need to get a message out, I'll send an email or text.

When it was newer, 3 years ago, then it got over used and abused by others and now it's never welcome, so I never use it. It's already "so last year"...and freaking annoying to receive them.
