Very much like Tammy Lankford, I prefer a CPA who either provides me the software are a template for software I currently use.

However, of greater importance is identifying other small business owner's who have visionary business models and strategies and seeking a referral. These business owners tend to need a CPA with eyes the look forward while the traditional CPA need only respond to historic action.

For example, did your current CPA consult you this year about tax benefits for equipment purchases?  A 30% tariff and loss of tax benefits makes a purchase in 2019 much more costly.  If you NEED it buy it NOW.

Hmm, where will all that tariff revenue go? To build a wall?
