Google Loves Youtube – Youtube is Google’s baby brother.
That is why we need video ... that said, no harm in having both.

I have... but don't find a difference in results when the photography is top notch in terms of how quickly my homes sell. I generally find that what people want is first-class, deluxe photography that provides a really good look at the home... the delivery method seems less important.

When I was a kid, Virtual Tours were called Slideshows.

it depends on the magnitude of the home....we have professional drone videos used for multi million dollar homes.... we hire that videographer.....interior drone photos...
we use animoto for all other homes...
slide shows via Realbird for homes.... and virtual tours via Realbird....

Ken,
It really depends on the marketplace. Most of the luxury buyers dislike virtual tours, it makes them dizzy. They also dislike videos. They prefer photos. A

I've done virtual tours through the house with a video camera on a rolling tripod and I've done the slideshow of photos. Both get zero interest. I've also done video of special features like an incredible pool/spa/waterfall. Very little views.
Video may have killed the radio star, but it's not impressing me in real estate. It's dead to me for now.

We use videos for most of our listings but not virtual tours! I agree with Ron and Alexandra, VR is very confusing (at least for me LOL).

Video works. Real full motion with natural sound video is the most powerful marketing tool bar none. Excellent for SEO too. The biggest critics of video try to justify not using it. The list of excuses for not using video... If an agent or brokers says buyers don't want video, whoa. That's like a store owner saying he does not carry milk because people don't drink it. Community, FAQ, the real estate process explained videos are powerful Ken!

Yes, on every home! Professional photos and videography. It makes a HUGE difference and yes, buyers in the Charlotte market love them - in every price range!
*After reading the comments - if done professionally, there is no dizziness! The 3D floorplan (Matterport) videos do tend to cause dizziness but, not a well-done walk-through video.

Sometimes, and yes I should do much more of this.

I have virtual tours and I prepare a video of each listing, unless it goes under contract too quickly.

On some listings I do but I am careful that I don't give away the secretes

Video and photos yes. All listings. 3D VR on some. I know that is a mixed bag, but we like it and think it is the way of the future. Traditional Virtual Tours? No longer. A strategy of the past. -Kasey
