When I started, it was all referrals from people who knew me personally and knew I would dedicate myself to their referrals. That is why you, as a new agent, always want to work your sphere from the very beginning.

A variety of reasons: Trust, Loyalty (past clients), Trust (past clients, referrals), Convenience (we answer our phone or are available when others don't/aren't), Persistence (we follow up with online and warm-ish leads forever and many have told us they used us because we stuck with them over time). The majority of the time it is NOT because they have researched us and our qualities and experience, as much as all of us would like to think that is the reason. Past clients and referrals know how good we are, which is why the well of our sphere is the best one to draw from. And often new clients outside of our circle are products of circumstance. -Kasey
