Very slim...there are occasional tornadoes in southeastern Wisconsin...none that have done serious damage in our area for at least a century.

According to charts, in 2002 there were fires in the middle section of AZ, not in the southern section where we live John Juarez, so in spite of mountains all around us, the vegetation is different as opposed to forests of trees.  The chance of electrical storms is with us every Monsoon Season, though we do not see fires yearly, and depending on where in the mountain ranges, dwellings are not prevalent.  When we lived in CA, that was a different story, and we lived there for 30 years.

Living in the Midwest -- Wisconsin -- we rarely have natural disasters -- some flooding in areas but nothing like we see on TV!  A tornado but so far have been lucky.  Some of my clients?  Not as lucky.

Here in the Portland/Vancouver metro area 'twas common in the recent past to say: "where were You when the Mountain (St. Helens 1980) Blew?"  The fine-particulate volcanic ash is challenging in many ways.  When Mt. Rainier goes the Lahar(s) will be immense and tough on the Seattle and Puget Sound region.

If Sierra Club, PETA, and Nancy Polisi could be muzzled, the risk of a natural disaster would go way down. Just ask the folks in the smokey environments of western USA. Sierra Club now has their cross hairs on Oregon. That won't end well....for Oregonians.

We're in the natural path every hurricane season, compound that with the most lightning strikes, torrential rains and flooding, algae blooms,  sinkholes, etc. therefore our likelihood is somewhere near 99% although when is another question.

In my location (Utah) we are sometimes snowed in, have the occasional fire and also have the potential for flooding when the snow melts. We also have a theoretical earthquake potential. All of these are pretty minor in comparison to other locations.
