I don't believe that they offer any value in a market in which demand outweighs supply so I'm not a fan.  I can't justify the investment to my clients.

I usually walk my sellers through what is needed to stage ... there have been a few times that a professional stager was needed.

I give my sellers a options of 2 stagers, I had a partner that would want to stage a women house and women would get upset.

I have taken some staging classes, and do help my clients, but some need my stager.   Having the back of couch as the entry of a room bugs me.

I've always been told that professional staging is the way to go.

Hit the low spots to bring up the listing to make it better than it was. Not something that it is not. That's luxury property marketing for over the top be the envy of the World at this address. We're small town meat and potato Mayberry on the marketing approach.

I share some advice, though don't personally stage.  Will also give a list of several stagers in the area, if the client desires to use one.

I recommend most all listing be staged. When a professional stager is hired there are no pet peeves. 

Unless the house is perfect, staging if it is well done always helps.

It all depends on the listing, the condition of the property, market situation and marketing strategy.

Stagers are like magicians. The liberate space we didn't realize was there.

Staging is important, at least to some degree. Not really a pet peeve, but I think it look very unnatural when agents insist on a fully set dining room table. Do you live like that?
