Son is a total looser & is pressing the law that's for sure. He must get out now & will become homeless or a 'ward of the state' at age 30. There is really something wrong with this guy. Poor parents.

I couldn't wait to move out of my parents home and establish my own when I was young. That 30 year old needs to grow a pair and get going.

Saw this on the news tonight. Seems to me they had given him plenty of notice before it got to court.

Honestly s weird as it sounds we just had soemthing like this where the 27 year old daughter with issues wouldnt leave... troopers were called and told the mother she needed to evict her even though she paid no rent or anything

it was ridiculous....  

Had this with a mother serving adaughter with an eviction notice...oh so NOT pretty.

The 30-year old needs to get a life and I feel that the judge ruled appropriately. I also heard he left court and went right back home

As with any occupant not paying, the law is the law. Could you imagine the laziness and gall of this kid to go against his parents. That is the problem that their is a lack of respect these days

Parental failure... public admission! 

Unfortunately I had the same issue with my son... he wasn't paying rent so he was not a tenant.  I asked him to leave and he would not, so I called the police and they escorted him out of the house.  I did not have to provide notice as he was not a paying tenant.

It's totally ridiculous... just like having "kids" on your insurance plan till they are 26. At 26 you are not a kid, but an adult. Of course, I have to wonder how these people raised their son that they let it go this far in the first place.

Sad and pathetic as this is, I know of other parents who allowed their kids to stay at home until they were 27-30 years old, and they thought it was normal.

I saw that and it really made me feel sad for our society that young adults and those that are just considered adults, are so dependent.  Pathetic that he can't self motivate to be independent.  That's what happens with mommy and daddy take care of everything for you.

Me thinks they should have thrown in a free haircut too!

I think the son has more serious issues than being thrown out. He already has shown he is a misfit.

Does this mean that I will need to post a letter on the door to my kids' rooms a month before they turn 18 if I want them out? 

If this guy spent even half as much time working as he is on scheming how to NOT work, he could be very successful.

Laws are different from state to state.  I just went through the eviction process with my client who inherited a home and her sister was living in it and would not move out.  It took a total of about 5 months before the sheriff's eviction took place.  

A different scenario than parents.  I'm not in their shoes ... I am sure they had good reason to want him out and living life independently.

I did hear this on the radio yesterday morning. From what I heard they made it a bit too nice for him to have any incentive to leave. They paid him $1,100 and he took it. Should have seen the judge in March after the February letter.

I saw the headline in my news feed. I mentally shook my head and moved to the next item in the feed.

I have no mercy on that son...kill his lazy butt to the curb....bag his clothes and throw those out with him....and then change the locks....

When I am moved for cause I give extra notice. I even found another place for a tenant whose landlord (my client) asked to move. In regards to this subject, tip of the iceberg here of a long, ongoing dysfunctional & abusive relationship. Finally both parents united and ponied up. Time to go son...

I would think they could get an eviction just like everyone else does.  Supposedly they have given him several notices to move and he just does not leave!  

Oh my, it is tough to get these kids out of the house nowdays! 

Frankly, I find it hillarious. I am looking forward to seeing the outcome. I hope that they do not expect him to be caregivers in their old age.
