We use gmail for junk and all things unimportant.  They have never been confidential, they have no idea of what the word means.  They have to be sued by the European Union to the tune of many billions, and they still don't get it.  Did you see their earnings this quarter?  A

I hadn't heard of it.  I looked it up.  Sounds interesting but for anything that important/critical/secure, I'd use an encrypted email system instead.

Gmail is my back-up email so I rarely look at it Lesley Wilson-VanGoethem but thanks for the heads-up so I can check it out.

Don't know about it. I know they are going thru rehab & have not checked out all the new features.

Does that have something to do with the new Self Destroying email?  i just checked. Yes, looks that way. it's like anything else, it might disappear, but there's still a record of it somewhere, and any number of people could have copied it, or taken a screen shot of it.

    Does that mean they are going to quit reading my email, hacking into my contact lists, and otherwise invading my privacy?  That would be something new.

With wire fraud we are facing in the industry I use a paid version of the 360 to safeguard mine and client's information. It's a cost of doing business. 

I use Gmail for junk. 

My junk goes to gmail so, I don't think those folks need confidentiality! 

I treat most everything on the Internet as a poosibility it will be public unless it is a secure server that needs special password access.
