I don't worry about comments but the communication from the public which sometimes is not measured immediately. Catchy titles for market reports arwnot "my thing". Im more Joe Friday "with just the facts".

I don't do anything different than I do for other posts. Market stats are just not everyone's cup of tea. Not sure one needs catchy titles for market reports. They are what they are. Why not boost them with ads on Facebook? I find if I go back in time, the reports actually get quite a bit of traffic over time.

You'd be surprised how many are paying attention to them but just not engaging. I've ran contests in the past related to market stats and those have been well received (for example, guess the average number of days on market in a certain community... or # closings in the market since Jan 1. When you follow up with the answer it gives you opportunity to teach them how you do in comparison. ;0 ).

You have to target the right audience. You can't blast market reports. They are dull and boring except to those who are in the "that" market, hence you need many price points and areas.

Few read them, but producing them does put you out there as somewhat of an expert in the local RE community.
Keep producing them, clients and G will notice.
Also keep putting out other stuff that people will actually read and respond to.

I am only looking for 1 view. Popularity does not equate sales. Clients who appreciate market reports are not many but they usually have high paying jobs.

No catchy titles, just graphics for those who don't want to 'read' the reports and details for those who do.

I've always kept my titles very "matter of fact" and geared towards what people are likely to be searching for on google. I had some traffic, but they weren't beating down the door... probably because it's not everyone's cup of tea.

I have lots of ideas. One would be to make up an Easy-to-Read, Bulleted List of the Finer Points that are in this Data. Then say "Did you know that homes in the $400,00-$500,000 range are in High Demand?" then segue that with a call to action for those Homeowners. Use the K.I.S.S. method when it comes to presenting data.

Foster,
Those who read market reports here in our area are actually interested in them. This is something they haggle over at the coffee shop locally, and they all own homes. The others that read them may be looking to buy a home. Traffic does not mean all that much, what matters is are they calling you? How many calls that lead to a check is what matters.

Market reports help tremendously with SEO and are important for those impacted directly by the trends. For most others, they are dry stats.

Some people care about stats and some don't. Those who do will appreciate them, those who don't won't read them regardless of how you present them. -Kasey

Foster: I agree with your findings. As the years have gone by, less & less people read the reports. My goal now is to go thru G keyword tools & see if I can up that a little bit.
I do put my market reports into G+ & things increase that way. You might try that.
Infographics always seem to fail as far as clicks/visitors. What I've wondering is the details of the infographic (aka pictures) are not getting indexed by G, thus not being read. Hope that makes sense to you. No one ever mentions that but I'm sure that is a possibility. An infographic is just one big fat picture, not details in it.

Do you promote your market reports on Twitter, Facebook, boosted posts on Facebook, Linkedin, etc.?
Do you try to get more traffic to them by linking to them from high traffic sites?
Do you do article marketing with them to get more eyeballs on them?

You won't see many comments, but views and clicks are good. I got another inquiry last night for blogs I have written on my neighborhoods I like to work, and will be selling her home too. They work --- keep supplying info to the public.

"Did you know...."
Seriously, what within all that market report stuff would anyone give a whit about?
Folks are up to their eyeballs in information and market reports in general just add to the noise.
For example:
Did you know 38% of property owners chose to "DO IT THEMSELVES!"
That's a relevant title for what is on many owners mind. Now your market report delves into the mls and tax records to reveal who is selling FSBO. The 'opinion' part closes with 'don't believe everything you read, you should ask a professional."
(38% of real estate priced below $70K is sold DIY)
BE CONTROVERSIAL.

Whats in it for me... has to be addressed. Example: if said report included a work-up of the readers house, area/item of interest, they would want to know. Why should anyone do anything? Answer: whats in it for me is.....
