Sadly, in many states, there is no limit. We have brokerages here with over 300 agents and only one Broker-in-Charge. There is NO way that one person can possibly manage that many agents single-handedly.
I certainly wouldn't want to pay their E&O insurance!

Over 300 million alone in the U.S.A. would be the maximum number of agents a broker could have with the assistance of associate brokers. I already subtracted the druggies who cannot hold any position as well as convicts who are not able to obtain a license.

0-Inifinity.
It's more a question of sanity than roster size.

In our state there is not a number. In practice, it is how many one person can manage.

I am not sure about your laws in Utah. There are plenty of students on AR asking broker questions. Maybe you can find an answer to satisfy your question from one of them.

No limits to how many agents a principled principal broker can have.

I do not believe there is a limit in Ohio, there are many Brokers acting as sole proprieters with zero agents under their Brokers license.

The minimum is none (or one if you count the broker). I don't think there's an official maximum, but I'm sure there is a point where it's just impossible to do a great job. That maximum would be different based on a particular broker's methods/systems/strengths.

I know one broker who wants to hire 20 agents. But he is by himself.
One branch CEO's quota is hire 500 agents. After 350 he was outsted. He inflated the number....

No limits that I know of, depends on the broker, the systems, and what they can handle.

Minimum is zero other than himself/herself.
Maximum is limited to the population of the United States, provided they are 18 years of age and can pass the background check, can pass the test and have the money to pay the licensing fees. That should narrow down the number to about 40,000,000 to 50,000,000

One thing that comes up is while a Broker can supervise the may they do so responsibly? The buck stops with the Broker so stories are not allowed

There are no restrictions in my state. Maybe that needs to be a change to the Brokers Act.
