from what I've seen, it works if they do not do the same work...they each need to go in their own directions.... no partners at one appointment.... 

My wife handles the backend of investment contracts.

Over the years, as a managing broker, had several husband and wife teams! Most were very successful. 

yes, some in my market, have a transaction with one now, communicated with husband, offer written up with wife as agent but have yet to speak to her. weird but whatever.

Lots of them in our market and in our office.

There are many in our market that includes thousands of agents.

Yes, there are some in my market. There is also a married couple where both are agents but each are with different brokerages because they found they couldn't work together. It's not for everyone.

My husgand and I were a great real estate team and life team.  Then he died unexpectedly in December.  Everything about my life is vastly different.

Some, but it never seems to be "equal", meaning one is the powerhouse, the other one is more of an assistant.
