Lower taxes lead to economic growth and prosperity?   Who would have thunk it?

Sounds good. They just opened a super tech Apple store in Chicago that's more like a vacation destination than a store. 

It is great news and exactly what Trump said would happen. NH is promoting itself to Apple with no sales or income tax, infrastructure and space. Trump is a wiz and economics and if he could learn to stop talking, he would not over shadow his economic genius. 

Well, let's use the whole statement. 

Tim Cook said, on last night's news, that the billions in investment would be partly due to the new tax laws, and partly investments they would have made regardless of the tax laws.

Yes and it's exactly the news that most of us anticipated! Great news and North Carolina is a PRIMO place for them to bring their next major campus!

Amazon has narrowed their list to 20 for HQ2 and NC is on that list as well - speaks volumes for our state!

I did not hear about this specifically but it was clear that the new tax laws are favorable for businesses and if businesses feel they can flourish in our US economy, new jobs will absolutely follow. This means more people working paying taxes and off the public toll, a Win-Win.

Yes I did hear that and found it quite interesting given their politics.  Still would be interested to know if manufacturing will return stateside or if they'll keep it in the Chinese factories with the suicide nets and child labor.

Let's hope the campus is somewhere that has housing. We certainly do not in Silicon Valley. Employed people making $100+ a year are homeless or renting a room for $1000/month.

Good news, but will the jobs pay a middle-income wage?  Another reason many American companies are overseas is that they can find workers who will work for much lower wages than most Americans.

Trump targeted the overseas funds to come home. He hit his mark!

I did hear I was going to be getting a refund from my power company and a lower rate because their profit margin is limited. to x amount.  I'm good.

Those jobs may be very temporary, only for building additional facilities (notce they did not say what kinds of jobs). I would like to hear Apple announce that they will bring manufacturing back to the U.S. from China, where many of their products are made now. Those would be real and more permanent jobs.
