I'm good face-to-face but, when I'm trying to remember someone's name without looking at them, I sometimes stumble...and fall! 

I'm a tard when it comes to names. Normally I will remember your name, and I know how to do it. But the way my mind works, I'll remember your face, your birthday, important and random things about you--and yet I could space on your name. In which case I'll simply say please help me with your name and blame it on my blondeness or age or something else.

I am really good with faces, names not so good...

I'll never forget a face & I remember most names. When I don't remember a name it makes it awkward to introduce someone I should know! I usually introduce the person who's name I know & hope that the other person says their name & rescues me!

I struggle with names.  I stand at a door repeating the name over and over so when the client comes to the door I say hello to them and try to use their name as often as I can during my presentation to help me remember.  No matter how hard I try, it is a challenge for me.  But I remember the address.  Not sure what the mental block is.  OMG!

Horrible with names, though great with faces - HA! - Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®,CRS,.  For some reason, that has always been my story, so it's not an 'age thing'.  It doesn't mean I don't remember details about our conversation though, because I do retain that!

I really stumble with names or remember just as they walk away. Very awkward sometimes.

Once I have written them down I am usually pretty good with names.

Yes I stumble on occasion, we all do, some more than others.

Trained by self to be good with names when I became a business alliance group leader.  The sweetest sound anyone ever hears the sound of their own name so it’s very important talent or skill to develop 

I struggle with names... good thing I have my phone... really helps me in many cases to remember all kinds of stuff.  I remember before cell phones, I used to remember, phone numbers, names, etc... but I think like a muscle, if you don't use it you loose it!... :)

It usually takes a few times to get the names right. I wish I was better at it.

If I see someone out of context my memory goes blank. I was at a "shower" for a niece and my other niece was sitting next to her, by herself, no kids, no husband, and her hair was a different color and style. I actually introduced myself to her! She blurted out, "Uncle Mike!". So now the rumor is Uncle Mike is losing it! However, clients I haven't seen in sometime leave me going, "Hi! How and the heck are you!". My wife and I have a system; if I don't introduce her she knows I've forgotten their name. She'll either walk away or at the right time stick out her hand and say, "Hi, I'm Mike's Wife Lou Ann. You are?" then I apologize profusely for not introducing my wife (after I've heard their name which usually brings back full recall!). But sometimes I stand there and go huh? But I've been selling/listing now for 40 years and only quit drinking 15 years ago! So much is a haze from the olden days! 

When I first meet with clients, I bring a folder with various paperwork (I'm not totally paperless). On the front of the folder, I have the name of the person I'm meeting, their email and phone. When I get there, I can glance at the folder and easily see who I'm meeting, and once I say their name a few times, I'm good. Anyone else I meet while I'm there, I jot their name down on the folder as well: Sean, son; Bobby, husband. or whatever.

So the answer is, I can't remember names unless they are unusual but I do have some workarounds. And eventually they stick.

I am not great with names.

Much better with faces. I remember faces all the time, but can't pull the name. Just this past weekend I was at a cafe and there was a lady there. I knew I knew her, but I could not remember from where I knew her. Turns out she was a pre-k teacher of my daughter's.

I try. If I'm not meeting too many people at once, I'm not too bad.  I do work at it!

I am better matching names with faces of those i really do not know. I meet so many people that it becomes hard. I like adding a note next to names i save in my address book, such as where i met them, what type of bussiness relation etc

It depends on how often I see people that I've been in contact with. 

What did you say your name was? I'm bad at times.

It's getting harder for me to recall names, but i have no problem just saying, " Darn, I can't think of your name right now', or something similar  like " I forgot your name".

If they have a name tag I'm good.

Names escape me, faces do not.

Ron is better than I am at names.  We each have our specialties...LOL A

I have to say stumble for the first two times.

I am better with numbers than names.  At one time I could remember their license plate, but not their name -- SHEEZ!  

I am very bad at names.

I work hard at them but sometimes I have to appologize and ask them again.

I am pretty good with names and their pronunciations.

Better at facial recognition.  Names mainly if they are unique.  Back in the late 90s, every woman I met at the club was named Jennifer, so that made my life SUPER easy!

not too good. Women change their hair color or do. The assertive type sometimes tell me they told me their name one year ago and they show up at office once a year.
