Home is where the hearth is.

No.  I don't like to contact people who aren't expecting (nor want) to be contacted.

I'm fortunate that I have enough business working with people who seek me out, that I don't have to reach out to people whose information I obtain surreptitiously.

Totally unclear about how we get seller contact information.... if we have to start going to tax records, trying to find phone numbers, email addresses it's not very efficient. Unless I'm missing something here.

If a stand-alone product ... maybe. That said, I am a permission marketer. I will not do anything that is deceptive or misleading in any way.  What is described here feels deceptive.

Does the person have any reason to believe that once they enter their address that they will be contacted thereafter?

Chasing leads is just not a productive use of time.

The concept is interesting.  If I understand you, they enter their address for a CMA or whatever, then your app captures it for me.   At that point, am I making a cold contact or a warm contact?

Just for the sake of honesty I would have to say no, I do not have interest in this product. As Nina Hollander said it just isn't clear to me if the person visiting the site is inviting you to contact them or not. Otherwise I can just go through the phone book, or any other list, and prospect. I don't have time to chase rainbows but I would follow up to SOLID leads where Sellers want and expect to hear from me.

Sure, but I want the correct address from them not 'nab' it if they don't want to provide it. How about I'll do business with people that are serious & want my help. Maybe it's just kids goofing around.

I have another program that I use that I will have to go feature by feature to see.

I not seeing any difference in this than all the other 'free home evaluaton' models currently on the market.

The home owner typically leaves and email address. Not much to work with.

The more motivated owner will provide an address. Now the challenge is knowing whether the owner was disappointed because instant result was expected, but instead received 'You'll be contacted by a real estate professional."  Owner thinks, 'Stab me with a fork!"

The owner even MORE motivated will provide and address and telephone number. This means stop what you are doing and make the call. They are EXPECTING a call really, really soon. Hopefully the outcome is not more disappointment.

Now, what if instead of all the above, the owner was able to calculate the value of their home themselves, and the agent receives the details. Instant gratification, privacy, avoids shame and on their time schedule.

Imagine the conversation the agent and owner can have with the value of curb appeal can be discussed based on the owners 'no curb appeal' assessment.

Now that  lead capture would be different.

I would not.

I always think of these questions from the perspective of the person getting contacted. If I wanted to know what my home was worth, and I entered my address and immediately got a call (when it doesn't say anywhere that my entering an address will result in a call), I'd be perturbed and would not use that website/caller at all.

On the other hand, if the website was very clear that entering my information was going to result in a contact, then I could decide whether or not to go ahead and enter my info.
