This should get you started David Martin.
I am making the assumption you want more visibility, backlinks to your main site/articles, improved placement in the SERPS, and that each article is unique.
In my opinion, the smart move is to always blog on your own site first, then branch out from there with all your content produced on other sites pointing back to either your site or an article(s) on your site (think of it as a funnel).
Here are several sites (domain authority in parenthesis) to get you started:
· activerain.com (73)
· biggerpockets.com (68)
· housefax.com (61)
· huliq.com (58)
· lightersideofrealestate.com (41)
· quora.com (90)
· realtybiznews.com (42)
· realtytimes.com (70)
· resaas.com (45)
Some you can sign up and post freely to and others you need to ask to be a guest blogger. I have not checked them lately but many still provide do-follow links.
This thread is full of mis-information (IMHO) so please do your homework before taking someone else's advice (mine included).

I used to blog on several but, then the content became diluted so, I stick to my own website and ActiveRain. I get far more activity/followers/leads from focusing than when I spread myself too thin.
You can blog on Realtor.com, Trulia.com and many others but, again, the proof is in the pudding of the sites that bring you, as an individual agent results - here and your own website. Then, share your posts on your social media. It works quite well for many! Good luck, David!

You might check with Anita Clark, but not sure why you'd want to dilute your content quite that much.

For good results, blog on your own site that you own and control and provide high quality content every day.

Great question! I will be following for answers.
Also, beware of Google penalizing or ignoring for duplicate content if the same content is posted on multiple platforms.

Anita's answer is the best, but do you have that much energy to blog in many places regularly? Or you just want to leave few posts and back-links? What is your strategy?

I am with Debe Maxwell, CRS - My own WordPress sites and the AR platform. I've fallen off the wagon blogging here ... and am just not getting back on it.

I would be concerned about trying to spread your blog all over the place. It seems like it would be counter-intuitive to the Google bots. Focus on your own web site and ActiveRain.
