I'm a native Californian and enjoy our weather but lived on the East Coast and liked that experience too.  I am open to change should the right opportunity present itself.  I've learned to never say never.  

Hurricanes in Florida cause closings to come to a dead stop, then the re-inspections are another delay.

Well, Irma didn't behave so we all stopped everything what we were doing for one week, other than all is good here.

It's more about being near the ocean for us

       Born in Florida, have lived here almost my entire life. 

       I grew up in southwest Florida (Venice), spent lots of time with cousins in Fort Lauderdale and Miami, graduated high school in central Florida near St. Augustine (Palatka, on the St. John's River south of Jacksonville).  Settled in Tallahassee when I got out of the Air Force; I live on the coast just south of Tallahassee today.  

      I don't care how many hurricanes come.  It doesn't matter how humid it gets in the summer.   Florida is paradise!

I am where I am for the lifestyle - and the weather definitely contributes to that. This summer, the lack of healthy air to breathe due to fires as really put a damper on all we love doing.

We may get 1 tornado every couple of years. Hurricanes dont seem to stay together and the snow comes, but melts. I love our climate here although as i get older, i can see spending winters in South Florida.

family is what dictates where we ALL live.... and it's new england and ma specifically.... we know how to deal with blizzards....

I've lived in many states and have enjoyed the experience everywhere I've been. Weather has about a 30% effect on me. More important is access to places (shopping, camping, schools, lakes, oceans).

I like the weather in Tennessee and the 4 seasons are perfect for me. I believe I would get bored with the same weather day after day.

For me personally, I would have to say that it's a pretty major factor, probably weighing in between 50-60% of my decision making process. Daily living, commuting, recreational - all reasons why I take local weather into account. However, it's certainly not the only factor that's important & wouldn't necessarily keep me from moving somewhere if everything else (Career opportunities, school(s) quality for the kids, quality of living, recreational, etc.) lined up perfectly.

Just snow during the winter months but I would rather have snow than a tornado, hurricane, earthquake or flood.  Let it snow!!!

I have not noticed any difference, it's more the 'season' than the weather in our niche William Feela.  People still come to Open Houses if it is raining or in the triple digits.  And more people are out and about when it's Snowbird Season!

If I lived in a super hot state I would probably shrivel up and die like a lizard on a steaming hot sidewalk.

Quite a lot. I enjoy the change of seasons, so a climate that includes winter is important to me.

Given that I was born here ... my sense is not much. That said, I do know it will dictate where I will not live if I should ever decide to move. 

We have some tornadoes here as well but so far it's business as usual. 

Not all that much... unless we have a rare snowfall when everything stops till that bit of snow melts.

I think it does have an affect on our business - if it rains, we don't see showings, and especially when it snows.

if it snows we stop.  no showings period.  My area is not equipped for the rare occassion when it snows.

It would take a LOT for me to leave California's weather.  Politics-wise, I'm long past wanting to leave.

I live based on the community of people, not the weather. And I am SOOOOO tired of hearing everyone complain.

Considering we just had a hurricane-A LOT!

We live where we live 100% to be close to our families.

I think for many people, where you are born is often where you live out the working/family raising part of your life. However, when making a change later on in life, I think weather has an important part in the decision making process. I, for example, hate humidity and would not volunteer to go anywhere with high humidity.

WEll, I have never lived  anywhere else so I really do not know if it truely affects me.

Couldn't give you a percentage but it's definitely a factor and why we moved from New England!

Well, I landed in Charlotte about 4 decades ago and loved it so, I stayed! I do love the weather here - I love having 4 seasons and being surrounded by green most of the year.

I don't know what percentage of having wonderful weather (and very few natural events in the decades since I've been here) but, I'm sure a little part of me stays for that reason. 

Family dictates the region that I live in.

The older I get the more I do not want snow.

In CT we are pretty fortunate with fairly moderate wheather. Our biggest issue is icing and maybe the occasional blizzard.

As I love year round warm weather Florida is more and more my home.
