A million dollar listing is worthy of great professional photography. Actually, any listing is worthy of professional photography!!

Yes, our MLS does not allow poaching of photos (although some do it any way)! As Carol Williams said, they are copyrighted.

Richard Weeks has shown us way worse than this photo...he'll be the man for this one.

I am astounded on a daily basis at what agents put into listing photographs. I am more astounded by the fact that their sellers allow them to do that.

My thoughts are with Carol Williams on this.  

Um, the problem isn't the photos.  It's about the house.

I have a good collection of pictures i have taken over the years, most recently i wrote about a home "ready to move in" and the carpets were black as night and a nice white where the couch used to be. The MLS pictures were of a beauy of a home, not reflective of what we saw. I woudl rather see a truth in advertising and not doctored mls pictures.

this is what you get for $1MM???  boards on the deck are lifting.... the umbrella's not staying... the railings are rotting...

There definitely are some bad photos out there.

There is no excuse for poor photographs.

I have seen a lot worse but I can't wait for a high wind to take the umbrella away.

IfI could sgare some ofthe pics I come across!  I'm amazed the sellers do not call their agent and ask WTH?  No matter what the  listing price, professional photos show the best.

We can't share MLS photos. However, in the spirit of crappy pictures, here's a picture I took from my phone when showing a house a month or so ago. From what I remember, there were no inside pictures on MLS. Isn't it lovely? Can you see the cobwebs?  UPDATE: I can't upload the picture. I'll come back!

We are not allowed to take photo's from theMLS as they become the property of the MLS

When working with buyers, we do have to see so many just plain awful photos, and feel bad for the Sellers.

As real estate agents, we do our client a disservice by not having professional photos with the listing. Buyers tend to be visual and the photos are what will draw them in or drive them away.  I have learned first hand the benefits of  hiring a professional photographer is great.  But if the budget doesnt allow, most cell phones have good cameras.  Just make sure that you have good lighting and great views in order to attract buyers.

You do realize you don't have the authority to post a photo you didn't take right?

OMG BAD!!!  I saw one listing where every photo was either sideways, upside down or totally dark.  I mean who does not double check their listing photos!!!
