John Mosier You said you need to get these listings sold, including your lot. SEO is too slow. Run google adwords campaigns. Telemarket every Realtor in your area who deals in land.

Go to every motorbike and ATV dealer in your area to promote the lots. 

Go to ATV Riding clubs, attend their meetings, advertise on their websites. Maybe groups of people can pool some money with $5,000 apiece and buy as a group some of the lots. There are Jeep Mudders who get together all the time and have a blast tearing up terrain. Seek them out.

Google search for;

• 4 x 4 riding clubs Arizona
• Off-roading clubs Arizona
• Horseback riding clubs Arizona

John I hate to say it but haven't heard of either mentioned. Possibly you need a more recognized service with better exposure? I'm not in the real estate that you are though, maybe you have the best solutions for rec real estate?

I understand long tail key words... but have never heard of Yoast.

I do not use YOAST> And don't recommend using it. Yoast is not up with the new SEO rules and it is too rigid. I recommend using SEO all in One Pack for WP which is free too. 

I agree with Dave Halpern that SEO will be too slow for your goals.

Yoast does a great job of highlighting those main keywords - down the road though. The only issue I have with Yoast is when I'm adding a post, I have to disable it - it slows down media and can take a couple of minutes to process a post.

I will say that I have days that my keyword search list comes in (I have daily alerts) from my website and if I forget to re-activate Yoast, my visitor hits are down and, of course, the keywords used to arrive at my site are too. So, it's definitely a cheap, effective boost to your SEO - it's just not 'quick' enough for the needs that you described.

Suggest Craigislist to direct traffic to your site. Vacant lots are hard to sell in rural CA. Got an acre near  Google new campus, then it will sell in two days 1 million over asked price.

Yoast is not the top dog.  They've been having issues, especially with their "SEO Calculator" (or whatever that feature is called).  All-In-One SEO is the way to go.
