My area is not rural or off the beaten path.  I do blog about local activities however to too much as I do not want that to dilute my site or get calls on farmer's markets or wine and craft events.

Many of my blogs relate to the lifestyle available in Kentlands, our home community located within the City of Gaithersburg, Maryland. We are in an urban area.

Community information is useful whether off the beaten path or not. People still want the information.

I agree this is an important part of blogging and I have plenty of ideas. Now I just need the time!

Or a Facebook community page perhaps.

I'm assuming you are asking either do you need or do we have a lifestyle blog? If so, yes....but I'd proof read it

I figure if someone chooses to live in the boonies they probably want to be left alone. But a list of local information is a good idea

I do blog about activities in our area.  Looking at making a few changes and this is a great idea. 

  I live in a rural county south of Tallahassee.  Some of the folks are hicks from the sticks... maybe I can sell them bricks and sticks.

My area is not rural, but I still post blogs about the area.

I am a rural area many times but not out of the way.  50 agents in a 10 mile radius

Wherever one lives it's good to sell the lifestyle.

That is a great tip and recommendation for all of us.

I blog about activities I participate in within my community and area. Anytime I take a hike in the local mountains, I blog about the experience. Anytime I get out and attend a local festival, I blog about it. Unfortunately, I can't get to as many as I want due to how busy we are!

Sorry, I need a few more cups of coffee before that makes sense.

My area is a large city so it is different then the country.

I do not have one and incorporate some of the local flavor into my AR and other blogs along with real estate. Google is good about indexing them so they are found.

I have to admit, I don't provide alot of community posts.... I search for listings and homeowners know I'm a "townie"....

Local information is always important, but may be more helpful in rural areas where it might not be readily available. 

My area is far from off the beaten path but, I have been blogging about lifestyle for years! I blog about it on my main website and here (and posts to social media) - and you're right, it shows that you're the local insider.

I am a bit confused but knowing successful agents in small communities they are not specialists and have to do a lot of different kinds of real estate to make a good living.

Quiet natural wildlife corridor with hoot owls at night and song birds during the day. Small group of neighbors practice pride of ownership. Live close to everything but far away at the same time because of choice location. Mountain paths, hiking and biking plus large park all beckon. Learn to relax and not just drink your coffee but smell it too. Roses are next
