No offense to Mr Robbins, his followers or anyone else who may not like my opinion, I'm gonna pass on that figurative walk over hot coals as it relates to my own strategies.  While I like some of his quotes/thoughts - go ahead and call me flawed but my tootsies are safe.   BTW -- nice hair and teeth.   

I'm about to celebrate my 1-year anniversary of an almost 2-year plan to get out of a fundamentally flawed situation and actually DOING IT!

Knowing what I know about Tony Robbins I would take my life and plan over his a 1000 times over… I love my plan. Not everything you see on stage is the same offstage. 🤐😉😎

That reminds me of the expression "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results". I don't change strategy so much as I change the way I do business but maybe they are the same thing to you?

I don't know of any strategy as I pretty much know what I need to be doing, just need to do it.

I do rethink strategies from time to time and make adjustments as necessary.

You know what they say about the definition of "insanity"... doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.  

Just like negative thoughts cannot lead to positive actions or results, a flawed strategy cannot lead to satisfactory results.   We have to adjust our thoughts and move forward from there.

Although, I think some of his teachings are valid, he is not someone that I would embrace wholeheartedly.  Both of us have read and taken a course from him in the early days of his fame.  Now, he is busy acting exactly like another guru figure from the past.  A

You can be really good at climbing ladders but that does you no good if the ladder is leaning against the wrong building.

I see a lot of people claim they want to be wealthy but they have no real reason for it and therefore are never satisfied. I see others set the goal for wealth so they can be financially free and then focus on giving back and helping others. That makes them more likely to find true success.

Not a fan of Tony Robbins, but I wouldn't disagree with this assessment.

I'm a fan of Tony and sometimes you just need to know when to walk away and not go against circumstances and your intuition. 

Change the strategy that doesn't work, even if you are in love with your own creation.

Absolutely! I agree with Tony Robbins...

Lise as an engineer we always look at strategy because what we build (aerospace) is extremely technical and there can't be mistakes. Postive attitude really isn't part of the mix but I am postive by nature.

Lise I'm not into Mr T but I do know that for me, having a strategy/plan/clear vision is what works for me. I've shaked things up a couple of times and re-created old plans especially in 08 - we had to shift and fast. Fundamentally I continue to do what always worked best for me and that is pay attention to my a list. And I'm working on something new right now and we'll see what that brings....fun stuff is what I see.

      He is wrong.  If you run far enough and long enough, east will become west and you WILL see the sunset.

I'm not sure that I totally get this.

But, if the sun already set, then a super sonic plane going east will get to the new sun rise much faster.   Just a different perspective and maybe a different goal.

Or, if it hasn't set, going on a regular plane towards Europe will get me to the sunset faster, but it will be a shorter sunset.  Or, I can fly west (or even take a fast train to prolong the length of the sunset.

Oh, and wouldn't it be cool to be in a plane and follow that eclipse...I think someone did this for a 72 minute eclipse on video.

There is no formula for living life...if one activates the self and takes it everywhere, you will quickly know what things are or are not and act on it

Has nothing to do with Tony Robbins but a good thought to think over your life & find out what is working & what is not. Yeah, I've been doing that including my real estate business - it's a good thing to take stock every once in awhile.

If it's not working, shuffle the dominos.

I use the strategies that work for MY business.... it's a "test the strategy" process and I've tested it.... what I do works well for me....

I'd give them a mirror to help them see that they need to change directions to find what they're looking for.

Lise Howe - we all have to go through different seasons of life! And work on the strategies accordingly.

The example of 'Running East....' is a bit to extreme for anyone to get misguided - and lose the trust in oneself!

I am yet to come across someone like that.

The sun sets in the west, you are going the wrong way. 

Lise....the problem with this challenge is I must be BIG ENOUGH to know I have a strategy that isn't working, but confess I'm working it anyway.

The other challenge is my boundaries. like so many others, have been well established and artificially justified. Whether it  is walking the coals, leaping from a perfectly good plane or lacing up the sneakers for that first marathon, we don't see boundaries we have until we have  broken through.

My change will be redirecting more treasure into the consumer tools part of the business. Hey, that may prove to be a fundamentally flawed strategy, but I'll ride that horse 'till it stops runn'n or I realize the sunset ain't in this direction.
