Whatever it takes to get the place sold -- I may have hired a service, but if not, then yep, I'd have vacuumed away : )

Yep. John recently replaced smoke detectors and door knobs on a house too. He has painted facia and trim (when I was 9 months pregnant and having contractions) to get a short sale sold. We don't make it a general practice of our business but will do what needs to be done. -Kasey

Yes, I've done it but prefer that they do obviously. I don't think that people understand that a vacant house still needs to get cleaned. It's not long before the spider family claims the familyroom for themselves.

Not only is it our job to make sure the listing is ready for showings, but in this case it was just the right thing to do.  I've done plenty to help out clients - especially elderly clients.  Running a vacuum might be easiest thing you do for that listing, right?  :)

Absolutely I would...and I have! I've mowed the lawn, I've spent days helping declutter and stage and even cleaned kitchens and baths.

I love working with elderly clients and they often 'think' they're going to be able to have it done by the 'deadline' (typically for photos or the first showing) but, others let them down (and don't show up to do the jobs they've been hired to do). I don't mind helping at all!
