Yes. They do. And if it's a transfer of a government office, the Affidavit of Property Value that we all have to fill out to declare the sale price . . . they're exempt from that too.

Yes and anybody can request block of personal information from the County website here, you just need to fill out & sign their form.  

In AZ, you 'don't have to' record a property ownership with the state recorder. Most do, but many choose not to for those types of reasons. But there are other ways (in AZ) to hide your record.

I am in Illinois and just found the current and former governors, and the mayor of Chicago in the Cook County Recorder of Deeds.  I don't know any police,  but I tried a couple of criminal courts judges' names, and they came up.  Personally, if I were in the public eye, I'd put my properties in land trusts, to keep prying eyes off my ownership records.

I think AZ does and personally I think it's a smart idea. We had a former govenor that lived down the street from us but not many knew about it.

I do come across a property once in a while with a strange name and no way to track down the owner, perhaps this is some govt official or famous person.

No sir you can find anyone in Arkansas,  I suspect if you were to try and find out where the Governor or any elected official lives someone would knock on your door to question you.

There are ways to hide that info from the public. Cops, fbi, dea, cia, foreign diplomats, etc, use it.

Yes we do, Fred. I think it's fairly common...and necessary to avoid people scouring the public records for unscrupulous reasons.

Yes, I believe you can remove your information from public records, but partially. It will be still information of who is the owner ( but not the price or other details).

If you know a persons name, where they work or what block or area they live-in you can track them. Today, it is getting very difficult to hide anything
