Dante, If I had to guess, the number of agents that both blog here in the Rain and pay Z for leads is going to be very small.   The population here is mostly about generating leads via blogging, IDX searches, etc., and not paying outside vendors unless it's strictly supplemental.  So like the others so far, my answer is zero $$ paid to Z.

zip, zero, zilch! In other words, nothing.

We gave it a shot for a very short time several years ago.  We paid $75/month for 12 months.  It was an area that there were no other agents purchasing in (because they didn't want it, but we did) and we did get a bunch of leads but they were far lower quality than our own website generated leads.  I don't think we converted even one, and we are really good at web lead conversion.  We quit after a year.  Best wishes! -Kasey

The devil suggested I pay 980 Montly for the 'exclusive' leads they provide for my zip code.

I suggested they go pound sand.

Imagine what you can do with more than $10,000 annually that requires much less care and feeding.

Dante, I paid Realtor.com $2500 per quarter for "my zip code" back in the day.   The ROI wasn't there, so I dropped it.  I would assume that Zillow is in the same ball park.

Nothing. I get leads for "free" buy blogging, ranking my WP sites and doing the WORK.  It pay well and the rewards are high. 

Nothing. Never have and never will but do know some agents who say it is worthwhile and they benefit.

Cost is per Zip code, the big Z has some way to figure the maximum someone will pay and that's the magic number. Many Realtors get lenders to pay for their Z ads and lender gets ZERO just 100% of the bill. conversion rate of fake emails that go nowhere and purposely wrong phone numbers- 0 

Do you actually think anyone is going to tell you in an open forum?

This reminds me: I visited two car sites recently and all I get is emails from them. What they do is sell my car visit interest to some other guy for $. Then, I have to deal with him. Same with unsubscribe on emails. You valdiate it is a working email by unsubscribing and then they sell that on an email list. Isn't this what Zillow (and others) are doing?

Zero...I have never paid Z  for leads and doubt I ever will. If I ever paid for leads, it would be for exclusive leads only which I have never found. My best leads come from my marketing and referrals.

I think leads worked on Z earlier. They had just 2 agents per listing. Now it is 4 agents.  I called Z they said there was an office bought 30-40 codes in a metro to give them to agents as incenstive to sign on.   I checked with two agents in a big office. They paid $325-375 per zip code each month. One agent gets 2-3 leads per month and found out the other agent in the office got identical lead. Almost very low quality lead not able to do anything or often no call back. This agent paid about $1K/ mo. and was yelling at Z wanting to cancel subscription.  Not sure if he was successful. 

The other agent showed a home or two found out the buyers were not ready. Many have been previously turned away by other agents because other agents do not want to service them. No money. Wanting to low ball to steal a home. Ready next year.... 

Both agents told me they think one get better leads doing open house.

Nada..you don't have to pay for leads. Market like you mean it and you'll have all the good qualified leads you van handle.

I've never paid anything to any lead system. I can't find the ROI fast enough. That being said, I have pondered it, just could justify the investment for the ROI. Plus, speaking with subscribers they never had enough positive things to say about their investment. 

I don't pay for Zillow leads.   I am sure it varies based on value of the property in the zip code.

I have never paid for leads or accepted referrals with higher than average fees!

I pay them nothing. I think many here prefer to generate high-quality leads in other day. You may find some you are using Z or have in the past

Not a dime, they took thousands of dollars and then had the nerve to double the cost by adding a separate charge for mobile.  I supported them through the recession and once the market recovered somewhat they started raising prices at an unbelievable rate.  Now they keep begging to get me back.  Fool me once...

ZERO - they are worthless. I do sign up as a Premier agent as it does give my listings a boost. The best leads are the ones i generate mysef. 

You are your own best lead generator. For starters may sure your lenders, Church, schools, friends, and neighborhood  know that you can be their go to person in Real Estate. Hand out those busineess cards wherever you go. 

A nice friendly smiling face and a good business card can open a lot of doors. Just market yourself !!
