Iit depends on the dog, and the tricks I suppose, but I'd say generally yes. There are certainly lots of tricks to learn here on AR.

Dogs live for any stimulation and are always willing to learn new tricks.
Supposed "experienced" agents avoid learning, because they think they already know everything...

Not my dog. She makes up the rules as she goes along, and I am expected to follow them.
I like to have a few unused tricks up my sleeve. Don't underestimate me. EVER

Oh, I'm a firm believer in being able to teach an old dog new tricks! So cute that your Barney is clever enough to take the long-lasting chewy over the 'instant gratification' Milk Bone!
BTW, when I worked the operating room, I had a surgeon that was always chewing nurses out. We all had to rotate through his room; when we met at the board to see our assignments at 6AM and I was assigned to that particuar surgeon, I'd proclaim, "You must have known that I wore my Milk Bone underwear today!" LOL

New tricks! It is part of what any business owner must be able to do.
However, there is a difference between new tricks and learning something new.
One is a derived from what one already knows while the other is NEW.
Learning the dietary implication of Celiac disease by someone outside of healthcare on behalf of someone important to you is different than learning new 'Twitter Tricks' commonly refered to as hacks.
Choosing to learn something really new, keeps the mind agile and abates the advance of losing that ability completely.
