We have Mac computers and Macbook Pro laptops. I use my MacBook Pro for presentations with Keynote. Keynote is the easist presentation software. I do all my webinars in keynote too, and I also create graphics and infographs in keynote. Keynote is so versitile, and I would never pollute my mac with any software from microsoft:)  And it comes FREE with your Apple products, even iPad, you can use keynote on your iPad and do your presentations right from your iPad. :)

You can also use it to do podcasts, videos, and record right in the presentation. Katerina

Absolutely. It's a great teaching tool. And you can PDF the presentation for hard copies or whatever.

Somehow I have gotten through my entire life - schooling, college, business and everything without ever, not even once, making or using Power Point. Sorry, no help here ;-) Kasey

I use power point when teaching and have used when presenting before groups. It can be very helpful to the audience.

     In a large setting, I use an assistant.  I put a monitor on a stand or podium to my right or left, so that I can see what's on the big screen without having to turn my back to the audience.  Also, I don't use it the entire time.  Otherwise, everybody is looking at the screen, and we don't "engage".

PowerPoint to a group of people is the way to go Anna.

I use it but more often I like Keynote. I can use my iPhone as a controller and also look at notes on each slide.

Yes I do like powerpoint but caution any presenter to limit the words they put on each slide and to not just read to the audience.  The presentation should have talking points on it with the real content coming from you.

I use power point and used to be right to the point--reporting of informaton and moving on. But I've been observing the great presentations are about your career, family, Interests and THEN the data. I teach at my local Board office, "Know Your Numbers" class. It's all about the market but I'm revamping it to be MORE interactive with my students and the data.

With the 'screen casting' capability of todays 'puters and the prevalence of smart flat screens, the need for PPT is greatly diminished.

The real question is "Do you use multimedia to enhance the personal message?"  The answer must be "YES!"  

Even if its  just a Ted Talk or YouTube ditty.

I created a power point presentation for a house I was trying to sell that needed rehab. I added comment on listing sheet that I could send to buyer agent upon request . I had several requests and many liked and appreciated it because it helped them discuss my property with their buyers

I love power point, my nephew was a power point king of the presentation and always made mine, he has grown up and moved away with no time for those once projects. Now i learn to do it and make them good.

I prefer Google Sheets because it is stored in the Cloud and therefore usable on any computer. 

Yes to power point. Whatever time spent to assemble it, it pays when presented...I like just using my skills bank for the quick connections

I use power point and old fashioned white boards with colored pens or even paper board to draw on.

The danger of power point is I see too many people read them verbatim and it's mind-numbingly boring.
