Turn times will vary greatly, but a line of credit is usually only somewhat faster than a full blown first lien mortgage.  It does depend how much equity they have and how well qualified they are - if it's a 'slam dunk', the process shouldn't take more than a couple weeks provided an appraiser can get out there quickly.

Getting any HELOC will depend on how qualified someone is, who organized their paperwork is to submit to the lender, and then on the lender, as well.

Usually a couple of weeks, or less.  Depends on the bank you go through.  Most need an inspection of the property and an appraisal.

They may wish to contact their own bank.

The major banks such as Chase or Wells Fargo can do an equity line in a week if the borrower has equity and good credit! 

I would call some of your favorite lenders but would think this would not take more than 3-4 weeks at most.

Why not call a few you have worked with?
