I suspect you're really asking would we skip Mother's Day to finalize a contract on a million dollar home, since the Title companies are closed on Sundays.  With 24 hours in a day, there is always a way to do both.  One never has to "skip" anything if it is a priority.

There are no emergencies in Real Estate.  I have an offer in negotiation on a home in that range and it will wait until Monday, as agreed by both parties!

Many important details are left out of your question such as initial showing on Mothers Day. Showing is not related to 'sealing a deal' because you don't know what the outcome will be.

To summarize, a good 'potty break' is all that needed. The agent that can't pull that off won't close the deal anyway.

There are enough hours in the day to do both - takes an hour to attend a Closing and I spent at least that on AR today!

I don't see why that would be necessary as there are 24 hrs in a day.  I would definitely spend some time w/ my mom (and always have, except when I lived in half way across the country).  Also, a million dollar home is not that unusual here.

No.  Out here homes only close on weekdays and we aren't involved beyond getting the keys to the buyer's agent... which a title rep can do for us.

It should not take all day.
