The most bothersome type is the call that starts with "Stop what you are doing right now and listen to this message:"  I  stop what I was doing by hanging up. These days I do not pick up calls from out of the area. Just my area code and there are a few numbers in Campbell and now Milpitas that allow out of the area solicitation calls pouring in. If it comes from Campbell I often wait for them to leave me a message to confirm it is really a valid call

It has cut down my junk phone calls by better than 95%. Once in a while I get a call that rings once and then they hang up. The service is free for landlines and $1.99 a month for mobile devices. Finally found something that automatically blocks these calls.

Yeah... I just had one of those that said "DON'T HANG UP... THIS CALL MAY BE RECORDED..."

I couldn't hang up faster.

If only there were a way to reach out through the lines and nail these scammers.  Unfortunately most of them are smarter than the phone companies and can spoof the caller id systems.

I do stop just long enough to enter the call in my phone as "SPAM" never to answer that one again.

I have gotten these calls before... Stop doing what you are doing.  I was listieing to the call so I hung up just like I was told to do

I don't like that one or the one that says, Hi this is Julie. I am calling about your credit card. There are no problems with your account. That makes my blood boil.

I get 3-4 robo calls a  day, so annoying. When alone and driving, i like to press 1 and have some fun with the caller

I can't imagine anyone would listen but apparently someone is or it would have stopped by now.

 What I am doing is listening to you, Jerk.  So I will stop by hanging up, and block your number.

It must work, or he wouldn't be doing it - for those into 'drama', it might be enticing - and for those of us into 'reality', it's either laughable or gets a seriously?! type of response.  Basically just a disconnect Hella M. Rothwell, Broker/Realtor®.

I think most people would hang up, but there must be enough who stop what they're doing. 

Don't like those calls. 

In addition to that I get the call that begins "Can you hear me?"

The report states they are trolling to record a 'YES' from there they pursue other unpleasant activities.

"Please stop what you are doing" has concluded with offers of paying off my student debt. That account was zero 500 years ago, or so it seems.

I cannot imagine ANYONE listening to a message that starts with STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING.  Good Grief. Has the world gone mad?

I got the opposite...I ditsy young woman pretends to pause & then apologize for not responding to my hello and goes on and on to tell me why she called

I get that "stop what you are doing" all the time.  They are all annoying, no matter what they say

I have been getting these type of phone calls even on my cell phone...frustrating.

That type of call would prompt me to respond exactly as you did too!

I don't answer calls from states I know I don't do business with.

Yoy mean you didn't stick around for their amazing one time offer, today and today only? 

I just hang up. . . .  do not think they are affective. . . . .more offensive

Creepy is right.

I haven't heard that one but the number of unwanted calls seems to never end.  

I get those too, and don't wait until the end of the sentence and HANG UP.

Funny; since returning to California, my California cell phone has suddenly come alive with call from these creeps and many others.

there are just too many nuttys out there....

So annoying.  I hate the robocalls, but they have to work since so many companies use them.  I do wish it was easier to get these spammers to stop.

I hang up immediately. It's a shame we can't tell robo-calls off!

Amazing, isn't it? That's an immediate hang up and block from me.

You need your linked in or g+ page completed. It's a friggin emergency! STOP what you are doing and go do it............
