I got cheated in my first investment purchase by an undisclosed owner/agent, so got a license not to be a dummy.  

One thing led to another and I realized how no one represents buyers.

Though I'm no longer an agent, I wanted to add more drama (my entertainment) to my real estate investment activities and expand my income, for the most part, it worked out and paid well. Still in non representative real estate and loving it!

The freedom to work for myself...sort of.

For the money and to meet women!  LOL

 Was investing in single family houses, wanted access to the MLS.

Jamie Hall My Wife was an agent and I got my license to help her out.

Company car, benefits, copious time-off, paid vacation, retirement benefits, prestige, paid health care and get to look at houses.

Because of a friend's recommendation.

Why not?

I was driving around one day after retirement.  I saw a sign that said "real estate school" and thought why not give it a try, the rest is history

To make money while helping others sell and buy homes and to have a more flexible schedule.

My life was too predictable and boring. I wanted excitement, stress and to think on my toes on a daily basis.

My husband and I thought we would start flipping homes, so thought a RE license would be good.

Originally, because a college friend of mind was doing it part time and I thought it would be a great way to make money on the weekends.  That was 30+ years ago.

Honest answer: My husband had applied to various teaching jobs and didn't get them - art teacher is hard to find and get if you haven't put your time in. I was a waitress with no real career path on the horizon.  My dad had started a real estate company and told us to come work with him and since we didn't have anything else to do we decided that we might as well give it a shot.  -Kasey

Lost a house because an agent was on the golf course at the time we wanted to submit an offer.

Lifestyle of the rich and famous .... its been a real love story for 15 years.
