I'm not putting faith in the listing agent to know anything. I'll get somebody who does know out there to assess.

Look at the pic, then just send it or scrap it. That word 'fixer' is subjective to everyone.

No, I would not call, just send along the information that I have on the Fixer-Upper Nathan Gesner. That way my client can decide by pictures or other hard facts (square footage, location, asking price, etc.) if they are even interested in seeing the house. I could never know for sure if I was hearing the 'real' or 'true' story until the house was viewed, and my client could then make the decision if they wanted or could do the work involved.

Call and get the details. If it's not what my buyers are interested in or willing to undertake, I won't waste their time. Lack of concern on my part leads to poor service for my clients.

Depending upon the buyers specific situation, I might call the listing agent to get some further info, preview the property and may even take additional photos (with consent) to send to the buyer - especially if the buyer was traveling a distance to see the property.

I believe most agents probably already have an MLS portal set up for their clients. The clients probably already know about the property and are calling you for more details or to schedule a showing.

Depends on the buyer and loan type. Investor knows what to look for and may want to assess it. Owner occupant may want a slight fixet but not ready to do major repairs and house may not qualify for the loan type. I would call in that scenerio.-Kasey

Whether the listing is mine or another, I don't ask and I don't tell.
For God sake's it a fixer-upper. I will and will instruct, "You need to take a look and if a fixer-upper is beyond ones skill set, hire an inspector that will give assurance regarding how far their report can be relied upon.'

Nathan Gesner A fixer upper probably means it needs a lot of work. The buyer needs to check it out for them self.
5,454,780
I'll call and inquire first to get an idea of what the home supposedly needs followed by a persoanl inspection if it qualifies. Then I will contact my investors!
1,525,616
It would depend on what the buyer wants. I would try to check it out before showing it if possible.
