I'm not putting faith in the listing agent to know anything. I'll get somebody who does know out there to assess.

Look at the pic, then just send it or scrap it. That word 'fixer' is subjective to everyone.

No, I would not call, just send along the information that I have on the Fixer-Upper Nathan Gesner.  That way my client can decide by pictures or other hard facts (square footage, location, asking price, etc.) if they are even interested in seeing the house.  I could never know for sure if I was hearing the 'real' or 'true' story until the house was viewed, and my client could then make the decision if they wanted or could do the work involved.

Depending upon the buyers specific situation, I might call the listing agent to get some further info, preview the property and may even take additional photos (with consent) to send to the buyer - especially if the buyer was traveling a distance to see the property.

I believe most agents probably already have an MLS portal set up for their clients. The clients probably already know about the property and are calling you for more details or to schedule a showing.

Whether the listing is mine or another, I don't ask and I don't tell.

For God sake's it a fixer-upper. I will and will instruct, "You need to take a look and if a fixer-upper is beyond ones skill set, hire an inspector that will give assurance regarding how far their report can be relied upon.'
